As always I have come back to playing Diablo II after months of retirement (again); aren't we all like that? I plan to make a Commando-mancer as I have always wanted to. And I have read theKob's guide for the Commando-mancer
and I totally agree with his ideas. Though for aesthetic reasons (and financial, lol) I would rather have a scythe type weapon. Possibly the Reapers Toll, or upgraded Grim's Burning Dead. I don't think I would ever be able to afford a Beast runeword weapon. I have never been able to do so ever . . . for real . . . ever. But that guide never said anything about two handed weapons and I thot what would my stat allocation would look like then. I would just like some thoughts and input. Ima play on ladder. If anyone would like to help me jus leave a msg.

not claiming to be an expert but i would use +strength items over putting raw points into strength.

Id use Nosferatus Coil for a good strength bonus and marrowalks gives u both strength and bonuses to ure necro skills n stuff. sigons gage is a good low level item id use on my zeal pallies when i needed more str.

items like that with some charms maybe could get u up to a decent amount and still have enough to pour more points into vitality. the only thing is u might have problems picking up ure body . . . u gotta plan it right.

Id say 70-90 hard points into str and then use +str items to carry u the rest of the way. then the standard enough dex for blocking, rest into vitality.

You'd need to invest a lot more in Strength and Dex. Scythes ask a lot from both. Try to figure out what kind of end game gear you can count on and see how many points you'll need to put in Strength and Dex. Without a lot of financial means you'll probably need to pump both rather a lot. Make sure the rest of your gear supports your melee tendencies.

On a side note, i can toss you a reapers tolls or a grims burning dead. i KNOW I have the first one, and pretty sure i have the second laying around.
