Insane Block Rate?

I noticed that in PvP strategies for sorceress it is good to use Whistans Guard Shield. In the Areau Summit i found out that this sield is 87 block rate for sorceress. So doeas this means, that when i put enough dextirity to reach 75 percent block rate, if i place more dextirity my block rate will still increase until 87, ethen though the game won't display it??? Is that right.

as far the experts say it goes up to 87%... only the game won't show it.
It will calculate it like this though.

I'm not exactly sure what your post said, but blocking is capped at 75%.

Wasnt there a glitch with a high blocking shield and putting alot of dex you can get 90. It was with a barb or a pally. I was in a duel game and people were talking about it. I was afk so I only caught part of what they were saying.

Shields never display a higher block chance than 75%, but the internal value can be higher than that. A character total block chance (after the formula) can never be higher than 75%.

u just need less points in dex to get 75 % block
