Your skellies inherit your clvl, magic find and gold find percentages.
i dont know the chance to hit % equation off the top of my head, but it incorporates AR and Clvl, and the higher the Clvl the higher the chance to hit. therefore, the higher level you are the better your skels hit
Does it only affect their AR?

It doesnt affect their AR; %to hit is a function of more than just AR. One of the other parts of the equation is clvl of attacker. so, since your skellies inherit your clvl, being higher level helps them hit things. Apparently...

The "to hit" formula takes attack rating and lvl of attacker, and defense rating and lvl of defender into account. So a higher clvl not only helps your skellies to actually hit the monsters, it also means they get hit less.
So even though a core Skelemancer is done before you reach lvl 50, you should not be playing hell at this time simply because your skellies will have problems, no matter how many +skills you can stack at that clvl. The *same* skeletons will do MUCH better when your clvl starts being higher than the mlvls you are dealing with... so the real fun starts at lvl 89: your clvl is higher than *all* random monsters (which go up to 85+3), meaning the lvl-difference in the "to hit" formula always works in your favor.
