Ive been reading about this build and people are mentioning really really high skill levels for RS/SM. Just wondering what you guys are using to achieve high numbers. Also, what would be a good +summoning skills to have to be able to do hell baal.

AoKL (arm of king leoric), any +2 armor, shako/+3 summoning circlet, maras/+3 ammy, not sure about the shield (boneflame i think), marrows, bk/soj, arachnid mesh, 10 summon skillers, anni = a lot of + skills

My standard skelemancer build uses TO, which provides +5 to all skills. I'm adding a +3 summoning amulet, an Arm of King Leoric (AoKL) and Marrowwalks (+2 Skeleton Mastery) as starting gear, and it's working just fine.

Since then I've aquired annis, some summoning skillers, and I even had a SOJ, although just for a short time (I gave it to my bonemancer). None of this is "required", but you can never have enough +summoning skills --- so whenever I get something to help with that I'm using it. I even had to give up some resistance charms to make room for a skiller (resists are no longer maxed now), and will do so again (or give up Gheeds) if I manage to get another skiller.

And don't forget that +skills on the merc "translate" to more damage for your skellies. My merc is currently wearing Naj's plate (+1 skills), Andariels Visage (+2 skills) and Ariocs Needle (+4 skills), which adds another 70%ed on the Might aura. Or in other words: if you can't raise your own skills, raise the merc skills :-)

My skellimancer is untwinked level 57 in start of act 3 NM.

Amulet is crafted safety amulet with +1 to all skills, headgear is gambled coronet with +2 to summoning skills (before I acquired this I used Lore runeword: +1 to all skills) and weapon is wand with +3 to summoning skills, +1 to summon resist and +2 to revive bought from NM Drognan.

Armor is Stealth runeword and shield is Ancients Pledge. Rings, gauntlets, boots and belt are the best rares (in terms of resists) that I've found or gambled.

Might merceneary has ethereal superior halberd with Strength on it.

The build is SP HC.

ok broha u cant do hell baal wit a summoner. it aint ever gonna happen. summoners are for pvp kills. that is why people make them. get enig and tele on top of the person and they die faster than ull ever see. stick with pvp

Luckily Baal doesn't know that --- he never refuses to die when I kill him.

EDIT: I don't "run" him, though --- I clear my way through WSK2, WSK3 und Throneroom. Depending on monster roll I might clear the maps as a whole, or just until I find the stairs (these are lvl 85 maps, after all...).

My Summoner kills baal (though slower than Mephisto)... works better with Decrepify than with Amp Damage.
He hasn't died from Baal yet.
I think one of the screenshots on my blog is the result of a baalrun.
