my m8 is going to quit d2..so before he leaves i want to give him a really fun pvp'er to play with...what is the funnest pvp char that is good in duels...

I don't recommend a Summoner Nec for sure... he'd get WAY too pissed if a WW barb justs comes and shreds his minions and have to go resurrect em again... :mad:
Fun... Eh? How about a Lightning Trapper? They're really fun to play... with MB and all that... :D

Bombsins are really fun. They use Fireblast as theyre main atk and there is lots of customizing you can do. You can have tele with nigma or res with coh. You can max the light trapps and make your bombsin have 3 good skills Fireblast/shockweb/Light sentry or make him a hardcore fire trapper and max the fire trap skills. It doesnt matter which because all synergies give the same amount of dmg.

i'm tempted to say ghost sin. its a character that requires some skills tho(many hotkeys), but it's pretty effective ;)
and just before everyone comes in with bvc barb, its an okay char that can kill most. if you want kills with less skill thats the char to aim for i guess(*dodges flames* yea i think the char is easier to play with)

I would definatly say ww barb or a zealot . I think duels are most fun when you are winning and my old ww barb won alot in pubbys. i also think zealots are verrry fun to play but when i played my old zealot he would get beat alot. and btw im not the most skilled dueler so you may have better luck w/ a zealot. hope yall have fun though!

If cost isn't a problem. Then WW barb is the way, you own most duel games with him with good equip.
Ofcourse you'll need to know the basics first.

If cost is no object, I would hire a hacker from the former Eastern Block to create a working townkill program ala Diablo I. The side benefit, of course, being that you could sell it on ebay for substantial cash until all the kiddies started to give out their own cracked versions with netdevil 3.0 attached.

ghosts, bvcs, decked out throw barbs, decked out ladder versioned v/ts (greif + fort)... and if you really want to be an inovator.. do what ive always wanted to do and make a pvc pally.

A Smiter. They Own Duel games and its halarious when people get pissed of at you and start complaining then they kill you once and you leave and come back and pwn them and keep nking them..I Find them great fun.

naw. pallies will need the resist for pally vrs. casters. they do enough damage anyways too with 1 hand. my idea was having fcr rings, arach, trang gloves, and pally ammy with 15%+ fcr. for charms, substitute some 3/20/20s for 20/17s to hit at least 700ish mana. this will be a fast teleporting zealot that can dish out 8kish average damage, have lots of mana, with super stacked resist and other mods like ds/ow.

Well, a Freezealot (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=542) is fun, but doesn't win many duels, because he's PvM. I guess you could customize one.
If you're rich, I've heard that high-gear Chargedins can really rack up damage fast. The only bad thing there is that Charge is still a buggy attack.
For the poor man, you could always go with a super-cheap lightning sorc (it's frowned upon to make a PvP sorc, but you WILL win).

Hybrid or different pally builds are really fun to play. There is Tastychickens Dragoon, with guide in pally forum. A dragoon is a throw pally. He has guides for elemental and fana. Theres my DayDreamer, guide in pally forum. It's a holyfire/foh pally. More fun then regular foher, hard to stack against. Theres Lovely's Liberator. Charge/Hammer. Theres a short guide in Pally section. Many more builds. Since your telling him to make a foh/chargeot/light sin, you shuld get him to make one those hybrid builds (id drop light sin they=no fun). BVC barbs are overated. Im sry! They are. They are an easy build to play when pwning pubbies, but they take ALOT of skill against good duelers. My fber (one of the prime builds that BVC barbs are ment to kill), kills every pubby ww barb out there. Be it there barb is high damage or high life, it isnt hard and ive played my fber for a while. But now when it comes to the good BVC barbs, such as Noah(big-tearz) and novices, I have yet to win, although Ive been working on fixing my DayDreamer. Have Fun!

Yup Daydreamer is fun also but my Chaos Bringer is fun too...Pally build;Smite,Blessed Hammer,Vigor,Blessed Aim,Holy Shield and some points for Holy Freeze for increase slowing percent and radius use Charge for cast invisible blessed hammers...stay cool and stun all...

Dreamadin, People complain about auradins but i made mine melee. Love my zealots and have to say there the best.
