i hate bowzons

i hav never made a bowzon

i will never make a bowzon

this is probably because 95% of bowzons are extremely BM as this is the only way they can kill anyone

they tg, nk, stand next to tp

they hav no life, tele next to them they dead...50% of them die from my windy just by teleing near them as the hurricane kills them instantly due to lack of res

maybe i hav just met all the bad ones, but i hav no respect for bowzons...

i think you have only met the bad ones. Trust me i hate the bowazons that just tg and nk and such, gives us all a bad name. A well built amazon is probably going to never be a match against a windy, that is one of the builds that we have trouble with because 1) so many monsters around you so ga isnt going to always hit you 2) no res = death from hurricane most of the time and 3) no blocking so your tornado doing maybe 5k dmg is enough to tear us up. One day you will run into a good one dont worry until then, good luck.

Uhh..maybe you guys see no good ones then. Good ones can fair very well in 1v1, and are kind of good in teams. They can kill windies sometimes as well. Either mass r/w for desynching them or stacked res for hurri. Zons arent that much worse than they were in 09.

I see plenty of fairly nice bowzons in pubbies. Granted, lots of them use mass poison and have crap life, but quite regularly I meet zons who actually use multi/ga the way they should be used, and then they can hurt me quite a bit.

yeah, its just like a chargelock from time to time. I mostly use my ww barbs for duels, and if they catch me while typing or generally not paying attention they sometimes get me.

obviously none of you have dueled a good bowazon.
my old bowazon was:
2.4k life with bo 5.5k max dmg
max resist gear loses 500-1k max dmg and .2k life.

not all chargers will beat a zon, actually most will die if the zon has titans/ss on switch with 1 point lightingbolt and kb gloves. the charger has to either sorb or have max resist with a good amount of life to survive LB+kb.

ga requires alot of aim, a good zon will be able to hit you far out of the homing range of GA. if you ever Z v Z, nearly every hit will be done out of the homing range.

unfortunately my zon has been stripped for a while, but luckily if you play USeast nl you can duel a zon named Tranquility, arguably the best on east with an nearly identical build to mine.

Best I duelled thus far had 2.2 and 5k iirc. He/she wasn't bad at all, killed me a few times, but fast tele+ hurty whirls killed fast enough.

1. bowazons take skill to play even with ga.
2. ga only guides so far - about 2 screens. if it guides in then the ememy is too close and thats a badly played bowazon.
3. its not the character thats bm, thats down to the player playing it.
4. i always thaught non character skills like tele and battle orders and life tap were bm. good bowazons dont use any of these.
5. whats everone complaining about? bowazons are the most nerfed characters in 1.10.
6. please try to play one before complaining about one.

A bowazon is probably the next char I'll make after my c/s zon. Altough, that may not be in the near future.

I have met one good amazon (AAmazon on east ladder); it was safe to say the duel was over before it started. Other than that, most bowzons are easy to kill, especially those who lack knock back. Knock back is probably one of the essentials to making a good bowzon.

And also.. when exactly did FRW and KB become bad mannered.. thats like saying a 200 fcr sorc is bad bannered :rolleyes: Be thankful they dont rely on namelock.

As well, Sh4dovv, do you really think its accurate and fair to judge something before you've done it..

#1 - full bug! 3 ppl in the game but it tells u its full!

#2 - using unperm items and need body to perm out... :(

true, there is no manner in pubs. That's why im saying most zons with "no manner" are still losers.

Exactly, dueling fohers is based purely on luck.

The main problem with light sorcs is the TS. When they tele on you with 200 fcr, they sometimes kill you before an arrow hits. Besides, a good light sorc with max block can negate your damage quite well.

I already beat Bigrob a number of times and lost twice (~10 - 2). The big difference was when he used Arachnid mesh, since he teleported faster and also made me run/shoot slower after he hit.

You aren't going to be able to hit a smiter 30~ times before he kills you. LF does alot more damage to a smiter with max res. This is true especially against the new superpowered smiters. I get LF anyway when going agaisnt druids. If you dont have LF, just use regular throw.

Why do you all complain about bowazons. Other then Dodge, evade, avoid, bowazons are at the most disadvantage. Good bowa's will never let you on there screen, which puts you out of guided range. The best bowazon i've seen on USE/L/SC is character name Creep(I dunno his account). Dont cut bowazons so short, the good ones are never bm. Also, trapper are far from annoying. Trappers are easy. Almost every char that shoots a missle(fb, lightning, arrow, ect) has a better range then a trapper. Barbs can ww through traps, through sin, through traps again and live. A good pally wont be affected by the lightning. Now to my final point, you guy say everything is bm. Tele from nigma, holy freeze, KB, sorb, stacking. Ive heard it all. But in my mind, anything that the game made (items and such), isnt BM. I mean you may be gettin bonuses from some things, but other put you at disadvantages. Like you get tele from nigma, but if you had used CoH you woulda gotten 65 res. Or if you used doom, you get holy freeze, but you lose dmg, atributes, ect you coulda got from botd. As long as people dont use AA and Scroll cast or Nk and Jump you, there isnt such a thing as bm.

Also I'm getting tired of the generalizations that go on. I can play in a pubby and usually GM duel other people there, so it's not like every person in a pubby is BM. I did about 3 dueling games last night, all pubby, and found at least 2-3 people in each one who were GM.

Maybe it is different by realm, but it doesnt seem that bad on USEast Ladder SC.

That sounds bizarre--why would that happen? Obviously Blizzard doesn't care anything about it, otherwise they'd have taken action years ago vs the D2 item dealers, and further, they would've done something about the ridiculous ad-spam bots (which I have to believe only contribute to the instability of bnet).

I doubt they'd ever do anything about it because ebay makes elite items available to anyone willing to pay, and that makes for people to be more interested in the game for a longer period of time than they would be if they were stuck with Charsi, Anya and Akara handouts as their top gear--dont you think?
