I was minding my own business in a passworded game, cubing my chips and all, and then suddenly I get this message:
4427 Stones of Jordan Sold to Merchants
O.o So I'm alone and I see that... then it goes up.
4439 Stones of Jordan Sold to Merchants (etc)
Sorry if this is totally noobish but I've never seen that before in all the time I've played DII. What is up with that?

This is just a counter that tells how many sojs have been sold on the server you are currently on. When "enough" sojs are sold on that particular server, a "world event" called diablo clone will occur on it.

Someone is selling stones of jordan somewhere on the same server that your game is held on. If you are in a hell game stay there! Uber Diablo may appear before too long.
He spawns at a random # of stones sold. If he does spawn your screen will shake and he will appear in place of the first unique monster you come across. If you kill him you will get a anni charm.

its actually more of a random number between 80-120 sojs sold. so, every 80-to-120, he walks.

Can u get more than one anni from more than one uber d, or is it like gld bird, where u can only get one?
The charm drops everytime he is killed no matter who kills him. But a char can only hold a single one at a time.
cood u give to mule, then stock up on single char? or no
a character can hold only one anni at a time. You can mule annies to other chars who dont have them though.
