I think it's better to use an infinity on a merc. I have a javazon with an act2 merc that is wearing infinity. It breaks lightning immunes etc, it's really worth making one.

yes but it breaks immune by 1/5. So the monster will still have 93 lightning resist. You have to equip the item on yourself for the -lightning resist on infinity to work after that right?

iirc you can make infinity in a 4os stave too. if you really want to do that, find a nice one with +key skills.

Thats true. But I would put Infinity on the merc and wear some nice facets instead...

U would need 11 facets to equate the -55% res infinity can give u.. sure u got enough space? :lol:
I think its a good idea myself, if u can get enough faster cast and + skills, the -55% lr on infinity will make u a killing machine. Im tempted to try this with a nova build (max nova, lit mastery, tk, es, warmth) stats- base str/base dex/100-150 vit/rest to energy, items - griffons, infinity voulge, vipermagi, arach, magefist, sojs, maras or fcr amu depending on what the fcr breaks are, need to check). Imo 4k nova will be very viable with most monsters at -100 resist :). Also wearing infinity yourself allows u to put insight on merc.
