Psn sucks. You miss the life&ar + that the damage is PATHETIC. Every half-decent opponent will negate it completely, and even if they dont it still sucks.

But in the meantime those poison charms are good for pvm. It's just in pvp, the opponent will probably pop an antidote prior to combat to buff his poison resist.

Heck, even plain 5 life scs are better than poisoncharms. 20 life scs or ar/life scs are your best bet if you cant afford max/ar/lifers.
Poison is good for getting clueless people cry "psn noob" when it does 1 damage/second, nothing else.

The difference is that wwsins have venom. Unlike poisondamage from charms it's not useless.

Let me clearify:
Say you go all-out on poison and have 39x 290:s (290 psn dmg scs over 11 seconds - the most common dupe). Thats 1885 damage over 11 seconds after pvp-penalty. Poisonduration has a 100% penalty in hell so that damage becomes 3770 over 22 seconds. Thats 942.5 dmg with 75% res and 565.5 damage with 85% res (easily attained by antidote prebuf). 565.5 damage over 22 seconds is 25.7 damage per second.

I dont know exactly how the game rounds this off, but lets say 26 damage/second if you waste your whole inventory with psncharms.

No matter how you look at it - poison is worthless. The damage added by max-scs alone is much better than this. Then you get the ar&life, i.e. the REAL bonuses. The extra damage is just icing on the cake imo.

Hmpf, only clueless people would get scared of that. With 85% res you're looking at 2 dmg/sec.

Some people consider stacking res vs foh bm too =)

85% res is easy to get with antidote-prebuf...

But yes, I guess it can be nice sometimes. All I say is that it wont work vs experienced duelers, but I can imagine it will scare the **** out of others. I prefer keeping my 39x32020 though... life is king =)

i'm pretty much gonna be in pubbys where not many people do the antidote prebuff thing, ok, i was gonna has like 5x 500psn damage scs (i dont have 290s on ladder)

I carry antidotes. Couldnt care less if someone whines about it either which never happens, as it carries an invisible boost.

Some poison is actually quite useful for dispatching max block ES sorcs that sit on 1 life for all but the first 20 seconds of the duel.

But then again so is grief & its ctc venom.
