In all LOD hardcore realms there are significant persons, giving noble examples to us - the ordinary players. Everyone of us knows by its own experience skilled players, making this game a true art of the human creativity. Some of them are fearsome duelers, other great MF hunters, third - great traders, and etc.
Please, list down here your personal "TOP3 - forever best hardcore players" with short description of their legendary deeds.

my #1 vote would go to Plip, or Phil or *enigma[x] on East as you could give him a class, lvl and a weapon and say "build me a dueler" and he could make one that works. He's not a forum guy but was on market. Most ppl dont know phil because he will kill ya with a char wearing sigons and you'll never know it was him :)
#2 kime (helz)....why the hell not ;)
#3 matt ... its hard enough for anyone to get any kind of kills these days and matts still puttin up ears high and low.
honorable mention to hakka and dacy, although their methods were not always encouraged, they knew how to build a pvp char to its potential.
Also to anyone who was part of KpA, for as long as it was possible challenged pk's both legit and non and stood up for the little guy ;)

I'm not going to make a list as PvM takes a little knowledge and a lot of time combined with an incredibly small amount of talent, and besides, I'm convinced that all the best PvM HC players are from this forum anyways so why bother ranking them? Oh, and I tend to avoid dueling so I don't have authority to speak there -.-
I will however give special acknowledgement to pUre-warrior in this thread.
Why acknowledge a no life hack user who died constantly in season 1? Because I'd like to see you lose as many 95+ characters as he did and keep shooting for 99 despite being the biggest joke on ehcl for a period of time =p

In no order:
Squee - Patience. Having lost so many maulers in HC SP and kept playing them when he started online. (he kept losing them) Heh.
Kadrom - Humor. For always making the entire game laugh over his latest love escapades.
Wizz - Devotion. Destroyed his screen in frustation when he lost his first level 90+ char. (I was there, at a LAN) :-D
Not from the forum, haven't had the pleasure to play HC with anyone from here. ;)

#1 goes to me, because i'm DROP DEAD SECKSAY. no lies.
#2 goes to mouse, because he baaled to 97 while dropping every single game. that, my friends, is patience
#3 goes to pure, because of what mouse said.
honorable mentions:
(1) herald of doom, because of the blanket
(2) ROK420 because he has died at 98, 98, 97, 96 and he still keeps going (im sure there are plenty more deaths past 95, these are just the ones i remember)
and a shout out to all forum goers. because they are all secksay (but there can only be one DROP DEAD SECKSAY, so sorry guys)
1.) Everyone who puts up with Still-Xey-Lover on a regular basis
2.) Baranor for opening a new world of PvP to me

There is no way to pick only three. Any player that gets back up after falling deserves a vote.(back to the circle jerk)
Yea, Rah was the "source" here for so long . He helped a lot of people.
I'd also like to mention Liessa Wyrmbane for her base vita Witchyzon in season1, a feat that still amazes me.

dont feel bad, I've only met rah once, unfortunately he was trying to pk in one of the games i was pkk'ing in ;) I enjoyed our encounter more then he did I think :)
My first run in with helz wasnt so good for me :) But then we tag teamed PKK'd him and now we're good buddies ^^
Since alot of ppl are putting up Khell's name, I wanted to give a shout out to Tamer. Tamer could convince you to trade your first born for a lemon, and since he and khell are very good friends (RL) i just thought he deserves as much respect as khell since they shared everything really

And my top3, i dunno really.
But if i made a list, i know jafrick would be on it, he was just too funny. i must have atleast 3 good screenshots of him dieing to traps and to a fallen, back in 1.09.
I would probaly also have to put jsiv on the list, along with wendallll. and if i had more room i could also fill that easily, i have met alot of great ppl in d2 and through these forums.

1.Dacy - Funny guy, not the most legit guy but a good dueler regardless of what people said about him.
2.Hakka - Damn good dueler. I could still kick his barb's *** though =D
3. Ummm. Wasn't THAT close to the main duelers here but I gotta give a shoutout to Khell. Great guy to play with.
Mine in no order go to.
1) Stinger.(had the pleasure of being in TEB with him...Man hes great. Made to 97 with his sin total legit. To bad he left us :(.
2)Xey...(my lover and a crazy MFer, came from nothing in middle of season and still got richer then me, lvl 96 legit poison nec.)
3)Dont know to many others :)

wildbill, I met him only once, but it sure left an impressionYep, I'll agree with this one. Wild Bill was by far the best player I have ever seen. He could look at your character in the chat screen and identify almost all your equipment, long before MH included it. And some of his exploits were truely legendary. Clearing Hell Cows with only a cracked white javelin and a belt of blues was one I witnessed.

Funny to look at all the "new" posters... In my mind, clearly some of the old players already listed should be there, but the one player not mentioned, and the old school gatters would clearly remember, is Wappa. Maybe not for technical ability, but for his selflessness gat mentality.
*edit - looking at the posters now, I didnt realize many dont know what gat was all about. gat was a philosophy about selflessness sharing. The AB took it a step farther. That is where you will be seeing Wappa playing, if he is still playing D2.
I vote for Syxx, who started KTA on Europe a long time ago, and Det for keeping it alive and growing :)

Phil aka enigma[x]- the mh killer, when mhers first started scanning before dueling he came up with builds to play possum and take their ears + gear
AYB- such a fun guy to go dueling/pking/pkking with, quite fun to run into friends while pking and not realize who the other person is.
Tamer/Leo tied for 3rd- Leo was the guy who first got me into pking/dueling, despite being completely stooped at times, and what can I say about Tamer... well he's surely not the kind of guy to backdown from a duel despite being severly outclassed.
and lets not forget the 3 biggest d2 hardcore rejects:
1-800-you-lose- horrible dueler, relies entirely on chicken to survive, complete piece of crap.
andone- the most annoying **** sucker ever, claimed every build was a copy of his, that he never lost yadda yadda yadda. He's the reason why my squelch button is worn so low.
azzholebynature/eidoy- chickening e-baying losers (2 different people) that can seem to make a build that doesn't rely on chicken/outside help/duped rune crap. After killing azzholebynature's friend's e-bayed dream pally he kept talking smack yet wouldn't duel me on his barb w/out outside bo.

I would definitily have to put Rah as my number 1 favoroite hardcore player of the year. Not sure about the others as I know of many people that rank up their.

I had a paly named e*****ma. We ended up dueling, but I died.
However, I would've killed him if he didn't use chicken in our first fight.

I remember him. I've kicked his *** on 3 seperate occasions in 1.09. After the first one, he changed from insulting me to trying to be my friend.
Enigg4ma was my char name. I was considered legit/fair duelist :P
Oh btw, our duel lasted 2 hours. LOL
Everybody watched him run from me. I ended up getting owned.
The people got pissed off because I looted my stuff and he wouldn't let anyone get near it. LOL . Good ol' days. I love this game
