Diablo Clone showed up in my Hell HC game. I can't take him. I will leave the game up if anybody wants to give him a try. Game is

He's been dispatched, however, the charm was taken by a helper. No charms for us. >< Twas fun though.

I was surprised how easily they killed him (some of you guys are amazing). Made me feel like some second rate hack (which maybe I am). Anyway thanks to the person who gave me the Trang-Ouls Guise (2 more pieces away from the set!). That was a very nice gesture. I can now cross another "to do" off my D2 list. I can say I experienced the Diablo Clone in a game and saw him die.

Not everyone is so polite everytime. The third or fourth time I had dc in my game I got help from someones friend who then ran with the sc... But I agree, killing DC is fun (I killed him in soft, so I can't imagine how exciting it is in HC :))

Well just to let you know I was the "maker". It was pure luck I got him in my private game. I tried to kill him, but there was no way I was going to kill him (couldn’t even dent him) and I did not want him to go to waste. I already killed the guy by the Frigided WP, so the cheap kill was impossible. Since I am a long time reader of the HC forum (and practically a first time poster), I have learned a lot from reading posts (and gotten a few laughs) and I thought I would offer the chance up to one of you guys.

I told the person who came into the game he could have the anni. Seemed only fair to me since they were taking the risk. I mainly wanted to see the clone die and experience the hunt. The person had a friend of a friend come in and help and I think that guy took the anni. That was the unfortunate part.

Actually the frigid trick, as well as the cold plains/blood raven trick, have both been fixed long ago.

the reason why maker usually gets the anni is because this is no longer true. the first few weeks of 110 maybe, but even totally legit players like me can take him out in no time

Just out of curiosity what character/skills did you use to take him down?
I've never had a Diablo clone yet so I'm kind of intrigued.

Anyone with high CB+fast attack >>>> dc assuming that they can survive for a while. Smite is the best as you can hit 4fpa and it has ITD. Zeal pally with convic works well too, I'd take 5fpc and almost always hit to 4fpc and a lot less consistent with the hits which is what you'd get with fanat. Other melee chars all work as well, but those are probably the quickest two as unlike kicker/wolf/ww/whatever the hell else you make your CB will be going off constantly. Get an amp on hit in there and it's even faster.

Elemental based characters can all do it too if they have a method of lowering his res.

I've never had a Diablo clone yet so I'm kind of intrigued.

done him at least 3 times with the usual tank/orb sork (pre season 2; no insight or infinity thingies)

lr wand on switch
kelpie snare on merc

clone moves very very slowly with this setup. even my low lvl orb + lr took him down faster than his health regen.

melee setups have to have cb to take him down (and of course the usual fast attack). lets see, on the top of my head: frenzy, zeal, fury, kicksin, smiter. never actually had one of these, much less kill dc with any of em, but from what ive heard they are quite a bit faster than elemental chars.

and, and of course the lamerdins. cant forget them (they seem to pop up in every pvm discussion)

But it could have been just some1 "Trolling" the boards for such an incentive...

During my D2 gaming in Season 2... I've come across DC a total of 10 times.. 4 were my games... And during those days, you could count on friends who were online to help ya as much as possible.
