Hello.. i was reading some posts about frenzy barbs, and i kept people kept saying how good it was. WHAT IN THE HECK IS A STORMLASH? (i know its a sword) i tried searching the item database, but it lagged so bad.. anyone can give me some info?

Stormlash is a unique "scourge" (elite flail)

It's a weapon with nice max damage, 33% crushing blow, 15% chance of level 10 static and nice attack speed too

are stormlashes hard to acquire? cause i dont wanna max the mastery and end up with no weap. oh yeah.. im a very very poor player. no twinking for me.

HEH. actually i havent played in a year =( im getting my disks back next week. i used to play i USWEST, back in the later patch. But my account is gone now.. =(

Then don't max mastery. Put a few points into double swing, it's a synergy for frenzy and makes a decent early game attack. Put at most 1 point into sword/axe/mace, depending on what good weapons drop - e.g. if it's raining swords, don't bother putting a point in axe/mace. Once you have decent end game weapons (like stormlash), you can decide to pump up the corresponding mastery, or just pump synergies instead.

ahhaah.. i lost all my accounts. havent played in a year =( im gonna start afresh with a frenzier xD probably the best untwinked..anyways barb is easy to play lol. just hit them till they die. ^^ but a week before i get my disk back from a friend..

Hmm if u can't find a stormlash then 'Crescent Moon' runeword might be easier to find/make as all u have to do is find some socketables and u could earm ums along the way or even obtain some in forges/countess hehe. Maybe make in a zerker axe? Also if you're ladder one could upgrade exceptional uniqs and Butcher's Pupil could 'grow' with you from lvl 39 onwards :D This ladder season also has relatively cheap yet hell viable runewords like 'Oath' and rares can spawn with up to 450ed hehe Cheers and welcome back!

thats the problem, Crescent Moon cannot be made in maces so you couldn't use it until you find stormlash, you would have to forsake stormlash and go to swords/axes and I've always been keen on phase blades

After my frenzier's experiences with a Crescent Moon superior legend sword, I can understand why. The cost of repairs was simply oppressive. Unfortunately, the phase blade dex requirement is a little too steep for my usual mixed-mastery frenzy build.

I've been thinking of returning to pvm with a frenzy barb. 2 X stormlash looks ideal for a frenzy barb, better than Grief or BotD IMO. Is this correct?

Also what should I put in the sockets? I was thinking Bers but I'm not sure.

Compared to other weapons such as lightsaber yes stormlash is damn expensive and rare. It is quite hard to get hell mephisto to drop one. A poor player with no twinking can forget about acquiring such a weapon.

Dual rapid static crushing blow weapons > any runeword combination imaginable. It also has more style.
