Update:
Two members missing, Hulla-hop and kretschmer. Dudes... it would be great to hear from you, if you don't have any plans on continue with KTA 11 please add a post here. It's kinda annoying not to know.. okay?

Back to the action...

Blazing thru act1 and ended with the worm’s lair for the staff. I think we ended up at lvl 49 or something. I must say that we are one mean group (even if we are now only 5). I feel like the only one not able to kill in one hit... Damn, I do pityful damage. Anyway I do have a singing career ahead of me :D.

What do we have...
We have Aerath as a sparkling spam Queen ;)
We have Eury as an Ice cold Storm furry thingie
We have Paddle as an all kicking releasing Dame of Pain
We have Waflob as The Boner
And we have me as a Tooth pick wielding Tony Soprano

If anyone wants to do some runs we can set an lvl cap at 50 or 51.

Well... Calvins Swedish name is Kalle, which also happens to be my son’s name. He is roughly the same age and a spitting image of Calvin, and he can be a pain.... or should I say that he can be a bit stubborn, but mostly he is so darn funny :D

Yesterday around 23.00-01.00 I managed to play in a nice pubby game (oxymoron?). "Akt3 WP suche" is not that common on bnet, is it? So I did whole Act3 and 4 with these ppl, almost in KTA way. All lvl 50-60, BO+conv+traps+blizz - it was a nice game. Barb is lvl 56 :)

D2 is just a game - your degree is more important !!!!!!!!!
Look at it this way - get a good degree, a well-paid job and you'll be able to afford to play games :-)

There were times when I knew I wouldn't be able to make it and someone kindly held my char in the game, for quests and wps. No reason this couldn't be done for you either.

Actually, this could work out ok - I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs a baal rush, and we could get you caught up and get some mules to nm - thoughts anyone ?

Anyway, we did some Baal runs yesterday succeeding in finding some crap and some runes on the way down. We saved Nihlatak til Wednesday cause we feel like eury should have a chance to avenge the dude..... :D

I socketed my normal necro head and got the expected 2 sockets, and am a bit unsure as to what to do next, bearing in mind that this is team play and not solo.

Only 2 runewords are applicable, namely rhyme and slendor.

Looking at rhyme :

20% Increased Chance of Blocking
40% Faster Block Rate
All Resistances +25
Regenerate Mana 15%
Cannot Be Frozen
50% Extra Gold From Monsters
25% Better Chance Of Getting Magic Items

compared to slendor :

+1 To All Skills
+10% Faster Cast Rate
+20% Faster Block Rate
+60-100% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+10 To Energy
Regenerate Mana 15%
50% Extra Gold From Monsters
20% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
+3 To Light Radius
Increase Maximum Durability 12%

Taking out the things that aren't really that important for a non-melee necro, it looks more like this.

both have :

Regenerate Mana 15%
(insight on merc makes this not so useful)

50% Extra Gold From Monsters
20/25% Better Chance Of Getting Magic Items
(I don't think the necro gets the last hit in often enough to make these a factor)

rhyme :

All Resistances +25
Cannot Be Frozen

slendor :

+1 To All Skills
+10% Faster Cast Rate

to be honest, nothing to get really worked up about. I am seriously considering plonking 2 perf diamonds in and getting 38% res all. This somehow looks more attractive than cbf, or +1 skills. What do you think ? I'd be interested to know.

Neither is exceptionally appealing, but I don't quite see the point in Splendor really... +1 Skills is nothing I would be wetting my pants over.

Combined block for Rhyme would be 52%. Not jawdropping, but something at least, if you decided to go Dex at all (wouldn't blame you if you didn't...)

However, I quite like CBF, and the difference between 25 res all and 38 res all isn't that big to me.

The biggest problem I have with Splendor however, is that it uses a Lum... Ingredient for:
* Oath, and more rare than Shael
* Lionheart (awesome runeword)
* Memory (+9 ES staff please !)
* Smoke and
* Stone
Each of the above runewords I consider vastly superior to what a Splendor gives.

On a sidenote, I gambled a GREAT ring yesterday :
+39 life, +15 res all.
Goes nicely with the res all ring (with two bigger resses on it) +xx Str ring I gambled before that Nex is using =)

Thanks for the replies - all useful info. One of good things is being able to clear out the sockets, so maybe I'll put the 2 pdiamonds in, as I have those already. If my resisits allow, I can remove the diamonds and make a rune word (prolly rhyme, as I have trouble typing the other one :-)

I don't anticipate being late tonight, but it might happen (circumstances beyond my control - i.e. traffic on the motorway)

Regarding your socketing problem Waflob, I have always loved rhyme, and always will. But the only thing with it that is better than 2 perf diamonds is CBF as Aerath stated. Btw, do we have any shaels lying around? I sure as hell would like to get my hands on the needed runes for one of the following rune words:

SHAEL PUL MAL LUM : Oath : Gooooodly I sure as hell would like to try this only once :D Would need a Eth BB first thou.
SHAEL UM TIR : Crescent moon : Good enough for me with +20% ias, ITD and around 200%ed.
DOL ORT ELD LEM : Passion : +25% ias, and around 200%ed and´+1 to berserk (Godly), but it has Hit Causes Monster To Flee 25%....
AMN LEM KO : Lawbringer : Some nice mods there but no %ed, so this will only end up on second hand if I go two swords.

That’s about it... Now what runes do we have? I only have a AMN and some minor ones from Thul and down. Am I able to do any of these yet?

Np, I will probably not be on tonight after all, because of the missus going away on Friday, and tomorrow we have a party at work, so I have to spend some quality time with my family. But I will of course do KTA :). But then again I have Friday-Sunday to do some hardcore grinding... :thumbsup:

Hands of Darkness = lvl 24 More shadow damage
Truefaith Gloves = lvl 25 hehe healing stuff
Shadow Hood = lvl 29 Looks like a goodly thing for me :)
Crimson Silk Belt = lvl 30 looks like a good one

Btw, I should soon be able to do these ->

lvl 160 = Mana Potion 455-585 Mana (To use in mid combat)
lvl 165 = Lesser Invisibility Potion
lvl 165 = Shadow Oil (needed for Shadow Hood)
lvl 175 = Elixir of Fortitude (Good boost)

I might be able to come up with another 4 to 5 bolts of silk myself, but monsters are dropping more and more Mageweave now. and 20 silk (needed for 5 bolts of silk cloth) are about 50-75 buyout on AH.

kk..Nex, just checked the stuff out. Some of them are marked without a "Trainer" note, so I am not sure IF I can train them. If I can only learn them from a pattern that mobs drop...too bad.

Some of the stuff is lv 29 and 30, the robe you wanted is lv 27 IIRC, so we even have more time..no hurry. You will also need a belt buckle, maybe you can ask one of our Blacksmiths for it (Saudar/Garreth or Chaje or his alt). I have just asked him for a couple of favours, so maybe you ask one of them this time, hehe

You can wait for me to give you some of the stuff for the robe, which should happen latest friday i hope. As i said i'll farm some spiders as soon as i can. And i'll try to do some heavy trading with herbes this weekend do get the feeling for it. Maybe i'll make some GOLD :teeth:

Well..death is not permanently, luckily. Just hard to accept for us LOD Hardcorers.

No idea how engeneering works. I guess you use items to craft stuff..like tailors find sheets of silk, turn it into a bolt, buy thread and dye, sometimes leather and create things.

Go see a trainer, lazy. (Ironforge I suppose)

Nor am I sure if I can -loot- the ingredients, rather than having to purchase them.

Update for you Det,

My Alchemy lvl was 164, so that was no problem. I have 2 wild steelblom and have now trained "Lesser Invisibility Potion" in Under City. I will not be playing tonight but we could meet up somewhere on Friday eve. Or if you send me the fadeleaf I'll make a potion (It was just one or?).
