They might have good bodies, but their faces are often sub par.

Sure if I met her on the street I'd point her out, but shouldn't 'miss-universe' be more than that? right on the spot my friend, i felt sth "wrong" with her face too... but on a normal day, her walking towards me, would make me go bit crazy :D

I watched the pageant. She was definitely not the hottest. There were way prettier girls than her and she came across as trying too hard and ditzy. Miss Israel was way hotter.

Brutal! She couldn't answer that question without being super-political, and thus betraying a position, not to mention fearing for her life or the lives of her family back home if she said anything about there being a problem.

It was damned if you do, damned if you don't. It'd have been ridiculous to say that there were no problems, but crazy and suicidal to say there were problems and offer solutions. The poor girl looked like she wanted to cry and crawl into a hole when she was answering, and the look on the face of Miss Mexico (who's question it was, though she had no way of knowing who would get it) was about the *****iest, smuggest look I've ever seen.

Personally she looks kinda funky to me, like she was dried play-doh that had been sanded into shape. Plus her face isn't really puffy, just kinda fat looking.

In short, she looks like the kind of woman who wins this type of thing. Most of the time she isn't the hottest babe ever, but she isn't repulsive. Super-models are the same way.

By the way, this is also what makes Israeli girls hot, varied origins.

I have to admit. Ever since Trump took over, the quality of contestants have increased.

But Miss Puerto Rico got RIP OFF!!! So did Miss Venezula. Even though the interview showed that Miss Puerto Rico had J.Lo's "pain in the neck" attitude, who cares about personality?

Boy those girls were tall. They averaged 5'11" without the heels.

One thing I hate about the Miss Universe contests is that the ending comes too quick. They crown the winner and Bamm! The 11PM news. Would have liked to know more about the winner.

Oh, was Miss USA in there as a token? She caked on at least 10lbs on her tummy since the Miss USA pageant, and looked a little bit chubby. That is the chubbiest Miss USA we've ever sent to the Miss Universe pageant.

Yeah she is fine, but her car is in nasty shape. Windows broken, the thing that covers the gas cap is bent so much it won't open, side panels dented, and everything she had inside the car(quite a bit sense she is moving back in from college) is covered in tiny little bits of glass. Nothing was taken though. But yeah I got up a 7 to help deal with that and I went to bed at 4ish, not a good combo for the growing teenage KOW.

I'll bite. Yeah, Miss Venzuela got screwed on her question. I wouldn't want to be forced to state the ills of my country on global television if I came from Venezuela. Heck, I wouldn't want to do it coming from the US. They are supposed to be representing their country, not saying how bad it is. How'd she end up answering?

Something along the very flustered lines of "all countries struggle with issues of poor children and I'd love to help them have better lives blah blah blah blah". The whole time she was clearly flustered, and wound up not managing to put together a coherent answer by the time her time was up. I honestly think she was a contender until that moment, when the wheels completely fell off.

At least she can (hopefully) go home without facing the trial for treason she would have surely faced had she spoken her mind.

It's an unfair question to ask of anyone. Essentially it's: "While you are wearing the sash of your nation, please tell us why it sucks," in different wording. It's a loaded question, it's got the assumption that there are political problems in her country. Not that there aren't, it's just a standoffish way to word a question.
