hey my situation is im makin a ww axe barb, and i just got a 6 soc etheral zerker but i dont wanna start spending good runes on just anything. i need 2 know if i should save up and make a ebotd outta that or sell it and save up for a 5 soc zerker and get runes 4 grief
consider like dmg, leech, n expense n stuff
Use the search function; there are numerous threads on this topic already, as far as which of the two is superior.

in terms of dmg.... the WORST grief OWNS the BEST ebotd big time.
example:
WORST grief zerker (+340 damage):
24min - 71max damage zerker becomes 364min - 411max damage grief zerker.
average of 387 damage
BEST ebotd zerker (415% enhanced damage)
36min - 106.5max damage eth. zerker becomes 185 min - 548 max damage ebotd zerker
average of 366 damage
P.S but keep in mind you have to roll 34+%ias to be able to reach the last breakpoint of ww... so it is a bit risky. but luckily the 4 that i roll are beyond 34% ias :p

but if you are using dual wield with grief and beast, shouldnt the fana from beast improve some speed, i know that ww speed only depends on the ias from weapon itself, not off weapon ias, i dont know how that applies to auras

Even the ias from fana on beast wont count towards weapon ias,it is coming from a skill though its an aura granted on a weapon.Like arbing showed you the dmg difference between the best & worst botd, also factor the 20% deadly & the dmg difference is considerable.
There is a thread floating up which says FYI:BVB weapons analysis...check that.
