Blessed hammer gets a huge power boost with concentration. Along with its synergies (vigor and blessed aim) its possible to reach over 10k dmg.

One of the advantages that a Hammerdin have apart from 10k of damage is that he can easily maintain that damage even been naked. Could do even more damage with standard Hammerdin equipments

Your friends pally probably isn't naked, but he seems naked to you (str bug).
