Im thinking of upping a Hone sundan for my sorc vs Baal for some speed. But how much will the dmg increase when upped? Does someone got a pic of a upped one. Non eth because I cant get a eth one.

i dont have a pic, but what type of sorc is urs? if its not enchant or melee i think u have about 5% chanche to hit baal, and u also have static right, so u can do it with that also

Heh, I forgot to say that its for my merc :lol: . Whats the dmg of a upped one then? And what gear should I use on merc for killing baal:

-eth hone sundan

Shael amn amn or shael amn nef in the sundan...I tried the second and like it because it keep the monsters from him. Not sure if the knockback works on bosses though, I would have to verify.

I think I got a 3 sock eth sacred armor, would that be a good armor for duress? But he will be lacking cbf right?

Actually i won't do any of the weapons you guys stated :P I went with 'Ral' Eth Andy 10%ll, Duriels Shell for cbf/resists and eth 'Obedience' Thresher and it does 950+ dmg *and* has 40% crushing blow, ctc lvl 21 enchant, 30 res all, -20 req mmm hehe Damn cheap runes too!

Damage range: 90 - 738

Don't forget that merc damage against bosses is 50% in normal, 33% in nightmare and 25% in hell...while crushihg blow reduce 1/8 of the total life vs bosses (1/4 vs normal monsters). For example, take a merc using a normal non upped hone sundan dealing (for sake of convenience) 800 damage and another one with obedience dealing 3.2 damage, which is about what a merc would do with each (nothing scientific here, Im doing an estimate)...With the merc penalty that would be 200 and 800..Not too impressive versus hell Baal who got 500 000 hit points... :uhhuh: Au contraire, constant crushing blow will cut down Baal health by 1/8 each time, which is, hmm, faster?

Thats why I think its better to stack up cb (95% with guillaumes/duress/sundan), you will make sure that your merc is always doing constant damage, even in a 8 players game (the % of life reduced by cb stay the same). I tried other set-up that work well too but imho that set-up cannot be beat for the price (especially if you swap the duress for rattlecage, but you would have over 100% cb). Well, just my 2 cents.

Obviously, get an ethereal one if you can. If you can't find one (like me) then a regular one will still do nicely for boss running.

Yes, my eth upped one does 136 to 1052, but i used an ohm, 40/15 jewel and a 40/+15max dmg jewel. I would ideally have used 3 ohms, but i would have been called a haxx0r and even i might have considered that a waste.

In Baal runs, there are monsters that cannot be frozen, like minotaurs. CHAM has no effect on them, and neither does cold damage as they're immune to that, as well.

I strongly suggest to cut the relevant part of your gargantuan screenshot and post only that. You can use e.g. Paint for that (Start button -> programs -> extras->paint or whatever it is in your Windows distribution). Some people don't have such a high internet connection speed...

I recomend this equipment for your merc:
- Guillaume's Face with 15% IAS jewel
- Griswold's Heart with 3x15% IAS jewels
- Ethereal Upgraded Hone Sundan with SHAEL + 2xAMN or Upgraded Hone Sundan with -15% Req jewel + 2xAMN
