This thread is for you post your classic items you may have for trade, too but you must post the original thread in the appropriate trade forum HERE (http://forums.diabloii.net/forumdisplay.php?f=21) and simply point to that thread in this forum. All negotiations for items must be posted there, not here.

This thread will help you to wade through the "non-classic" trades and make it easier for you to find other people trading classic items.

Any trade offers here that do not point to a thread in the trade forums will be deleted. Gorny and I will watch that no duped items are offered, as well as the regular mods over there.

You must first post your trade thread in one of the trade forums. Then use this thread to post a link to your trade thread in one of the trade forums.



Be sure to label your trade thread in the trade forums as a Classic Trade thread.

Use [C] to note that the trade thread is a classic trade, along with [L], [NL] [HC] etc,.

Also the bumping rule that is in effect in the trade forums will also apply to Classic trade threads in the trade forums.

If you need me to be more clear, feel free to PM me. Bumping threads is not permitted in these forums.

Bumping threads is a lose lose situation and does not make sense. Sure, while you are logged in and if you bump your thread every few minutes your thread will stay on the first page. But what happens as soon as you are gone for a little bit? You get knocked to the second page. Then another user logs in and looks through the first page. You bump your thread again. This other user goes to the second page and misses your thread. Finally a user finds your thread. He then has to wade through pages of bumps to see any other offers but most likly there is none because if you had to bump your thread most likly no one was interested in your offer.

It is not going to hurt you to have your thread on the second page or god forbid even the 3rd or 4th.

Post your pics at one of the picture hosting sites like Photobucket or Imageshack. Then link those pics to here.

But please make sure to follow the trade thread rules for the Classic forum or the post will be deleted. Price check threads are OK in this forum, since the trade value forum at this site is loaded with LOD stuff. It just makes it easier for Classic players.

IM TALKING ABOUT NON-lADDER, ON LADDER EVERYTHING IS WORTH MUCH MORE

angelic ring/amu - random unique for each I think. something that MIGHT be useful (crushflange etc) or perhaps 1pskull for both
frostburn - 3pskull? goblins, the +1 fire gloves, maybe tearhunch boots, or some sort of +1 amu with medicore stats? hawkmail - but well hawkmail is a bad idea for oyu
ward - 1pskull, crappy rare, people who keep 37 wards will demand something good.. other people dont have wards 37 but wards 49+ and demand gulls.. there is no medium market
goblin toe - it's used by most barbs so there is a market for them. also useful for amazons/some palladins. perhaps one of the above mentioned uniques. as for rares something which would be 4-5 on a 10point rare scale? it's really hard to tell
mage plate - hmm, no res.. so maybe feed charsi with it. I dont know how much 60% ed is however.. Maybe you can trade it for a ward with someone on nightmare, not really sure. I would probably throw it away

20FCR scepters are only prepatch, and there are a few legit ones, and a handful of duped ones on NL. Personally, I think shard is better :)

neways, shard is better I guess, but how does a din get damage without then? I mean, you've seen my din and it has pretty good gear, but only +3 to skills. I see that most of the really nasty higher lvl guys have scepters.

This allows for no FCR on amulet, one FCR ring, and magefist+shard. I use this setup, and it's awesome. 10k hammers with battle command, and 80FCR is quite nice, especially if you solo raid. 50FCR just feels to slow for me on a din, I really want to have the 80.
Even on NL, I would rather use shard than a +2 20fcr 3conc scep. I mainly use hdin for CSing, and I like to solo raid, so this might be part of why, but 80FCR hammerdins are pretty nice, and beat the hell out of 30 or 50FCR.

Legit shopped/rare +2 10 fcr +bh + conc scepter...

Shard is more defensive and easy to use, but a 50 fcr 12k dmg hammers setup is a lot of fun :)

Ive done a lot of solo raiding and definately still prefer scept HANDS DOWN, No BO on VL's in full game extra dam is more important. (I guess it is more important in everyway in my mind :P)

Although I don't really like ornadins, The extra def really helps tank vlords. A high def mage is also good, but a low def sorc type armor sacrifices a great potential amount of tankage. -30 Orns are just way too much strength, but it worked pretty well for me with a legit -40 orn (fhr life and fire res all on it, suck it duped orns). Unfortunately, the ornate was only used much with a grand crown, and my most favored din setup ended up being mageplate/grimhelm. As long as you have 500 def from the mage, and a bit more from other items, a decent level holy shield will bring you up to a good amount of def to tank vlords. Pumping strength for -30 orns on ladder is just a waste, especially when dins will do 100, 117, or even 136 base strength. FFS, when I did a -40 orn hdin, I had base str on one pala, and about 40 str on the other. Also, in every case of a scep hdin, I would try to avoid a Divine Scepter. 103str is too much unless you have godly +str gear (and preferably NL prepatch +str boots), and 103 strength is a waste if you don't at least use a decent mageplate for some def. 55str mage with 15str cuts the need a bit, although I liked a certain combo of Grand Crown/Ornate with one shard setup.

I was wondering what is the common means of payment in classic, except SoJs which are not very common for a newcomer like myself. Where low-mid runes and perfect gems are optimal price for some more common uniques in expansion, i am not sure about any substitute in classic, since runes do not exist and pgems are not useful for rerolling magic items in a cube. I would like to buy a few items like goldskin, spectral shard or tarnhelm for my very first sorceress in classic but i have nothing to offer except maybe some rare items i have found so far. Is it possible to pay with gold? What would be the price of a unique items like ones i have mentioned? A million? Thanks a lot for any possible answers:girly:.

If you are only playing classic PSkulls and Gold can buy you some stuff. Apart from that, check the values of your rares here, as they could trade for that stuff aswell. Some players, like me, will also take LOD Runes for their stuff in classic.

I bought a gull for 3 Milion a while back. Most(95%) people will probably laugh at the suggestion of gold for their items, don't let that get you down, but if you just find yourself some high level 90+ people, I'm reasonably certain they will be willing to trade their unused uniques for your gold just so they can get their gambling fix.

So make a game "2Mil for your GS" or something similar.

You could also just level your sorc quite a bit with stuff you find and buy. With that sorc you should be able to find your GS.
Or you could play as much of the game as possible in stead of rushing from one XP cow to the next. For instance, try to do act 3. The whole of it, flail and everything. Come to think of it, a barb might just be better for a first starter char. Since you can MF quite nicely with a barb.

My apologies for what may be inferred as a harsh reply. I made a noobish mistake earlier, and got pwned by a bait+switch thread attempt on a pair of silks and a socketed non-dupe corpse shell that I got REALLY cheap.

one of those guys that irritates ya to know end in the trade window. by now, I should have known better after having played for 16 months, but it had been an enormously irritating day at work, and the wife+kids were creating some chaos - I had hoped for a quick 20 minutes of unwinding on D2 and then to only get frustrated by that tool. at any rate, any sense of frustration that may be inferred from my reply is most likely due to the frustration with myself over that botched trade.

I'm not sure if it's allowed here, but the account was mostw4nt3d and the char name is "magies", (a sorc) attempting to fake trade a psk SS. (I had intended on using it to get nice legits)

if anyone sees that character/account and they attempt to trade dupes trader beware. especially if/when they act flaky.

I intend to screen capture some of my nicer items for trade, and host the images on my webserver. I have quite a few +1 skill ammies that are nice for LLD, and/or MLD's or even higher level characters that can't find/afford a godly +2 skill ammy as well as the usual gskins, silks, shards, gulls, etc.

I realize a LOT of that doesn't command a ton, but I'm open to interesting offers. (probably like most here)

LOL no, it wasn't my summoner. (I haven't done anything with him in a few months - been levelling the blizzer, or the mf baba)

At that time, I was leveling my blizzer. She's not too far behind yours now, not quite the same "ideal" build as I wasted a few in warmth that I shouldn't have. Her blizzard, synergies and cold mastery are all maxed, except for glacial spike is like lvl 15. In my experimenting, I found that for my style of play that it was better for me to max ice blast first, as not only does it freeze, but it hits harder than spike.

My gear is pretty darned cheap, but I have been teleporting, and flipping switches in full cs runs with her since like lvl 48... only 80 in energy, which means that if I do a mini-raid (without BO) I have to pot after teleporting to the ring in CS. but, I've got almost as much vitality as the "average" hammerdin. *shrug*

the hat is fhr, tri resist (low 20s tri resist) with +39 life. I would love to socket it, but right now, that's just not an option :(

*post your trade on the relevant trade forum and then link to it here....just a heads up too...pgems are not currency on classic...pskulls have a use and are sometimes traded.

I've seen gothic bows drop in every hell mode act. I did find a 27-140 (179% ED) off Hephasto the Armorer while doing that quest for my pop barb though. It has 10 ias and cold dmg too, but I'm on USEast so you're out of luck. If anyone on East is interested though, msg *gurck

Depends on what char you are mfing with. If mf barb do trav. If Pala do cs. Maybe better not to think about specific item. Rather mf travi or CS. If u find something kicky make game in hell and say offer xxx need Gothic bow with ias... If its good enough you will get offers. Many do not appreaciate bows.
