If you are using Win 9x and you use a USB port
to connect to the internet (such as a cable
modem) you will get freezeups from time to time.

The only thing you can do is to reboot. Moving
to a newer O.S. version will also work as will
using a network card instead of a modem.

um.. the main cause of a realm down is actually from joining too many games or switching between chars too fast. I'm not sure if what you said is true but there are other causes for realm downs

I wasn't suggesting that this is the only cause. As a matter of fact it is not
even all that common. So what? If this helps someone then that is a good
thing.

???.realm down isnt a freeze up.The game freezes/crashes due to software or hardware problems.

RD is like a temp ban that is supposed to catch bots,but all it does is catch poor people who mule too fast.

::Sigh:: I didn't think I had to be this detailed but its clear that my meaning
isn't getting thru. So here is the sequence of events.

1) You exit a game. Normal or abnormal does not matter.
2) The game exits all the way out to the sign-in screen even though you did
nothing deliberate to cause this.
3) You sign back in.
4) You get a Realm Down.

Clear now ?

Aha thnx for sharing that, me and my friends play like mad sometimes then we get realm down and makes jokes about b.net must think we are bots, and apparentley those little jokes are true afterall :)
