Hi,

I have been trying to trade for an ethereal GPA or GT (EHCL) for a few weeks now. I finally found someone with one to trade, and the desired price is an IST. Is this right? Seems a tad expensive....

I'd say that's about right. I presume you are making a ebotd? I'd not make it in a giant thresher if you can avoid it, it is lower damage and is faster than you need it to be.

As for the weap choice, I dunno. I have always hat GTs in my ww barbs. I think they look better.

Yeah GT's look pretty cool. My logic is that as BotD's they both hit the lowest WW BP, but GPA has lower dexterity requirements and does more damage (about 10%) than a GT. A ghost spear is the exact same speed, range and avg. damage as a GPA, but requires much more dexterity to use. Granted, GPA requires more strength than a ghost spear but since strength pumps damage and is required for heavy armors anyway it's not really a waste. Pumping dex to wear a ghost spear doesn't make as much sense. You don't need dex for block, and you don't want to be pumping dex just to get AR, so shoot for smaller dex.

A possible perk of using a ghost spear would be that you could use an upped eth hone sundan without any gear modifications (presuming you don't str bug using the stats on BotD), which allows a speedy range 5, high CB weapon for pummeling bosses.

Then again, I'd prolly str bug and not be able to use it anyway.

Personally, I'd rather wait for a GPA than compromise and make it in something that I know is suboptimal (GS or GT).
