It was from a unique beatle in the third level of the maggot lair, guy blew up and killed me and when I came back I noticed the gold hydra bow. I've been running it with my enchantress as there's no fire immunes.

Really! Stupid me!
I was under the impression that lvl 85 areas drop ilvl 88 items...
I checked my items that came from lvl 85 areas (WSK Nat's Mark and Ancient Tunnels Executioner's Justice) and both registered an ilvl of 88 according to ATMA.

Anyway, is there a list somewhere that shows the supposed item level that monsters in a certain area level drop? I have a list of area levels, but don't have the one with item level drops... Can anyone please direct me, if such list exists... :thumbsup: Thanks! :)

Just use your ATMA drop calculator to get a good idea. Set it on "Item" under "Search Type," and then "Any" under "Monster Class" and pick some unique elite item, like a Windforce. The mlvl usually corresponds to the drop probability, so the list will generally go from Ball (mlvl 99), through the Superuniques, and then from mlvl 88 down. Under "Area" it displays the monster level, and were it can be found. You can also change the Monster Class if you want to look at something specific (i.e. normal monsters, minions, champions, uniques, superiniques).

In this case, a Death Beetle with a .0000097etc. chance to drop.
