The oddest thing

When I was playing yesterday, my friends list showed everybody offline, including the player I was PLAYING with. Yes the accout was accruate because I was able to msg him. What's up with that?

most likely lag.. other than that, i dont know.. did he reply to you after you messaged him?

yes he was able to msg me, and I showed up as active on his list. My list was the one that was messed up, even after logging out and in again...

yeah this has been happening to me lately also my friends get mad think im ignoring them when i rally cant message them i hope someone will fix this annoying bug

I've had the same problem. I was playing in a game with my friend and all of a sudden a notice came up saying that he had left battle net. Well, he hadn't... he was in the game playing with me. And he continued to play in the game for another couple hours before lossing the connection. He had no idea what happened... when I did a friends list, it showed he was offline. But he was in the game with me.

I remember this same problem back on Starcraft. On starcraft, it was simply because the person had lost connection to bnet. The reason the person didn't drop from the game was because during a game, was because they were connected to the other players computers. If they quit the game, they would be shunted back to the login screen for bnet.

I wonder if it's the same process for D2 (though, it wouldn't explain why their friends list was working).
