Dam... a friend of a friend showed me a ring...
its not a uber ring, but its too low level for its bonuses.
I think it might be created for a item creator or something(so he would be a cheater). I dont know how to check it... Well this is the ring:

Viper Scalpel Ring
+110 atack rating
+ 5% mana leech
+ 4% life leech
+5 dexterity
damage reduced by 2
REQUIRED LVL 22 (too low, dont you think?)

is this possible???

I think it's legit...DR is only 2 and the leeches are low...ar bonus is nice but not as high as the higher level requirements, eg. ravenfrosts.

This is probably legit... and if someone wanted to create an item, they would probably make it better than this one..

Yeah, it's probably from the 1.04 or earlier era. I still have a ring similar to that - +1 max damage, 92 ar, 4% life leech, 10% magic find, magic damage reduced by 2, 23% cold resist, level 15 requirement - that I obtained from the Ormus quest a few years ago.

The ring is not legit:

+110 AR: "Platinum" Prefix; clvl 22 (rings)
5% Mana Leech: "Bat" Suffix; clvl 25 (rings)
4% Life Leech: "Leech" Suffix; clvl 22 (rings)
+5 Dexterity: "Skill" Suffix; clvl 22 (rings)
Damage Red. 2: "Protection" Suffix; clvl 18 (rings)

This rare ring has one more suffix than is possible in the game.

LOL why the hell would't someone give it better stats? If your friend made it, laugh at him...

and btw, i have several <18 clvl rings with more than 5 mods on them, one of which has 5%mana leech. I believe i got it from Ormus.

The prefix/suffix limitations have changed a lot over the patches. It's probably legit.

I've been playing since 1.03. AFAIK, the 3 prefix and 3 suffix maximums have always been the rule with rares.

i once saw an amulet that was +2 all, dual 5 leech, all resists, and MF, and it was only lvl 3 requirement. ive not seen the guy who had it on bnet in months tho *shrug*

There's no hack to make rings unless it's on open.

Clearly this is on the Open/SP front.

Then tell me how I did have a ring with 7% ML , 6% LL , 146 AR and some crappy mods , with only a level req of 20? Oh yes , it's from classic aswell. I'm not sure if it's a dupe though. Lots of these rings were duped in 1.08 and 1.09 , because dual leech rings couldn't spawn there. I don't really remember the name of the ring though. And I don't have it either anymore.

This site has lots of dupe items and also dual leech rings on it. All which did spawn in classic and were duped. Just check the level req. The ring above can be possible to spawn , since level reqs of mods did change , not just the amount of pre- and suffixes that could spawn on a rare item.

We're going to let that sight slide, since they don't sell anything and they're not actually pimping the use of hacks/cheats, but instead providing a service whereby you can see common hacks/dupes for your realm.

Erm, the rest of their posts clearly show the poster knows about lower reqs in classic and also the max suffix/prefix count.

I'm commenting regarding the fact that the rare has four suffices. I was the only one who seemd to have noticed that in this thread.

I understand about the low level requirements of certain affices in the previous versions. I'm sure your ring is legit, because I have a few low-level dual-leech rings buried on a mule somewhere.
