Best all around barb

I need a build and item list for the best all around barb yall can come up with, items/money not an issue access to all on uswest ladder. Recently inherited about 50 mules :lol: so any build the best all rounder, ebotd cb, or axes? post away no redirecting, the guides seem slightly out dated.

Many people arnt going to answer this because there are so many threads that start like this. Not trying to be mean but veterans are tired of seeing 'the best' threads.

Sorry to redirect you but from what i've seen and heard the best all around is your typical ww barb w/ vit stat allocations. Look at the ww guides. The main thing that makes them best all around is the pain in the *** ww can be in melee and casting duels. To be do good in all situations though you cant just have one set up you would need multiple setups, high def armor for melee and nigma for casters etc. and wiz spike + ebotdz (many other options) and ebotz + ss for melee.

But all in all you'll want a ebotdz for your main weapon or a godly rare zerk.

If you want my advice on a good all-around Barb with both PvM and PvP in mind, this is what I have and consider pretty well-rounded:

Arreat's Face (with Shael for fhr, important in PvP, but you could Um it)
Enigma's (very important for PvP, but you could use Stone, CoH or similar)
Stormshield (Mine's got a p-diamond)
Ethereal BotD Colossus Blade (Excellent damage and speed, leech etc. and not horribly expensive - and you can ditch the shield when it's not necessary)
Thundergods Vigor (not optimal, but i almost only duel and it comes in handy - I lost my Vertungo's in an impatient solo mule with a well-timed realm down)
Steelrend (Wonderful gauntlets, but you could use IK's for stats or Dracul's)
Sandtrekkers (sp?) (Excellent boots with overall stats and 20% fhr for PvP - you could use Gores for nice alternative damage mods, IK's for cheap but decent attributes - also goes well with IK's gloves, or whatever you can scrounge up)
Highlord's Wrath (Deadly Strike - 'unff zed)
2x Ravens (Or angelic's ring and amulet if people yell at me for having absorb)

I've got the Demon Limb for enchant so I don't find myself needing to wear the Angelic's set under normal circumstances.

Demon Limb: In case you didn't know, this little-known gem has twenty charges of lvl23 enchant, netting you a +218% bonus to AR and like 100 fire damage, and you should be able to get one for a skiller or somesuch.

Thrott's suggestions are pretty good, all around, though some things could be changed. I'd take goreriders over treks, for the crushing/deadly, and I wouldn't shael the arreat's, since FHR means nothing to whirlwind/concentrate barbarians, since their attacks can't be interrupted. I'd ed/str the helm and shield if you're a whirler, or ed/ias them if you were conc - pdiamond is nice for the resists, but if you're doing pvp then resists won't matter in combat where you need the shield, and in combat where you need resists you'll be droppng the shield for a second weapon anyways (wizardspike, beast, silence).

Similarly, it's a proven fact that BotD berserker is superior to the CB, and similarly that in caster pvp, two weapons out perform a 2h weapon. I second his suggestion for Drac's, and the rest of his advice is spot-on; if you can get Verdungo's, grab it.

I will replay to this one to help out a little.

This guy has 50 mule accts he wants the omg best, what ever.

arreats face should all most all ways have a 30-40 ed jewel of some sort. That or eth and zodded. 15% resists all jewel with a second mod when doing barb vs caster. Ditch the um rune ideal better off with a second mod.

Armor should be 2k def or more for melee dueling, not barb vs barb. Do fort when doing bvb. enigma when doing barb vs caster.

Weapon go with ebotd zerker/eth deaths cleaver zodded. Grief zueander <-- misspell that sword that is one step down from collousses sword.

Storm sheild 40% ed and -15% req. Around 222 dex needed for max block at level 99.

Gore riders boots

2 anglic rings and 1 amulet. keep a raven frost,dwarf star, t-gods, demon limb, wis spike/umruned, and wisp projector in stash. Then use when needed.

Keep your str low as you can go. Get you life as high as it can get.
Think about if you want to use 2 weapons, 1 weapon/sheild, or 1 2-handed weapon. Then ask again about that here.

Things you sould know about. When a barb in wirlwind is effected by cold it gives him more hits with his ww. I know this from personal exp. You attack rate is based on weapon only ias and movement speed. SO when dealing with a melee based attacker you want your movement speed as slow as it can get. But when dealing with a ranged attacker that isnt all ways true.

ex.

vs a bow/xbow zon I dont all ways feel it matters.

vs a cold using sorc. BLIPPIN A IT DOES.

Of course the axe is better, and also like twice as expensive. I was just giving him my setup - however the sword can be used as two-handed if you want to go without a shield, for bigger "lucky swings"

I meant all around as in Pvp only but able to barb vs barb abd barb vs caster....can u give advice on that?

Axes ebotd are not as hard to get in less they jumped in price over the past week.
