Hi,
I got a question about zealot armours. Now you walk into battle right? So you should most likely pick the highest defence armour around even thou it might be heavier right? Give me feedback

It depends!

There are a lot of options!

The options are of course Duress and/or Chains of honour!

If you have enough strength then you can make Duress or COH in a heavier armor than Archon Plate!

For example if you make a Fana Zealot you should have enough strentgh to make Duress or Chains of Honour in Kraken shell. But and I must say that CoH seems to drop in price (trade value) if its not made in an Archon or Dusk Shroud! WHY? Cause for PVP those armors seems to be best!

If you only play PvM you can make Duress in the following armor types: Archon, Wire, Bonewave and Kraken Shell. This armors are light or medium! If you care about how you look then its up to u to chose the right armor! Duress made in higher req armor might be usefull for your mercs in the future!

When it comes to Chains of Honour it seems like Archon and Dusk are best (sup if possible).

Hope it helps!

Don't use CoH for a PvP Zealot. The defense is way too low, and the other mods don't really help you.

Duress is a great offensive armor, but it's lacking in defense.

If you're going with a runeword armor, I'd recommend Stone. It's cheap, has great defense, stats, and some resists.

I tottally agree with this, stone adds str/dex/vit, +15 to all resistances and 60%fhr! wich makes it better than others...

The only good thing about a coh is its resists. When dueling zeal vs zeal or zeal vs melee I do not see the point in using a high resist low def armor. Stone looks good too. In a rune word only armors.

I do like fort tho. More def after being hit alot, Omy god cool damage, and far def.

how much ias do you need to wear the death r/w in a ba?

60% ias total. that meams u'll have to build the entire setup around it.

Ive just made a zealot using eth death zerk IMO its a major pain in the butt...

granted its doable BUT squeezing the IAS outa every lil thing I can and still having max res isnt fun

IM stuck atm wearing a ias gloves , nos coil, highlords AND had to socket a shako w a 15 ias jewel.
with the build you have to have BIG TIME IAS to max with zeal and fanat

fanat lvl is 26 and I still need 58ias to reach 4fps zeal...

Ive yet to pk with the build ( findin a pk game open with a zealot and NO interuptions is about like finidng a winnin lotto ticket on the ground at a bookies)
Id tried eth death ettin ( cause I was bored and had the runes to make it when I was testing weaps for dreamadin use and roller a 378%ed) and it was MUCH harder to get the ias ironically it needs 83IAS to make the break)
