Alright, so I know that lvl 25 Conviction is the cap at -15 enemy res. Got that, but what would happen if I were to add a facet to my gear, with the maxed conviction would the facet reduce enemy resistances further or is the max of maxes still 150?
With immunes, the 150% would still be used (divided by 5) to lower resistances. The -% resists from equipment only kicks in when there is no immunity and it would then add to the -% resists from Conviction.

what you mean, divided by 5? Does -% res work, but only 1/5 when a monster is immune?
The -% from Conviction/Amplify Dmg/Decrepify/Lower Resist is divided by 5 when attempting to break an immunity on a monster. After it has been broken, -% resist from equipment/Cold Mastery further reduces the resist. The other resists on the immune monster are reduced like normal.

so for example, when a monster had 120 cold res and i have a lvl 25 conviction aura. Then the first 100 would reduce their res to 100 and the last 50% will make the monsters res 50%.

correct! :D
correct! :D
Actually, it's false. The full 150% is divided by 5, so in your example the cold immune would have its immunity broken and have 90% cold resist left.
