hi,

I started building a WW barb using gnouma's ww guide, playing diablo 2 only.
My barb was really good and kicked a lot of asses, and after a while I decided to convert my barb to an expansion unit.
After playing a while with my freshly converted barb, i noticed that the WW attack is so lame! I cant even hit monsters decently, let alone kill them.
In D2 without the expansion I was able to hit monsters a dozen times in just a single WW attack, now it's only a 2-3 hits. :(
Is it something that has changed in the expansion, or did i make a big mistake following gnouma's article.
Please give me some advice because im really having a hard time here.

Concentrate : 2017 (Lvl:2)

Current Level : 53

I'm using left click for conc. and right click for the rest, shout, bo, ww ...

And where exactly are you? normal/nightmare/hell act ?

Before the expansion, I was in hell. This was easy, because i could hit the monsters a lot.
After expansion, there was no hell. I needed to do the act V nightmare first.
So now I'm in nightmare act V.

OK, let's see:

-monsters in act V NM are usually around lvl 60. This combined with your low attack rating= very low chance to hit.
-your weapon has to hit breakpoints to hit a lot, so if you have a very slow weapon you might get only 1-2 hits per whirlwind, and combined with low chances to hit and low weapon dmg you're in trouble :)

PS: which realm are you on? or singleplayer?

Yes I think that's very logical. Any advice to make it better? My total damage is around 300-360, and thats very low, i know. Whats the best way to increase attack rating and damage.

And what about the slow weapon speed, my sword has a fast attack speed. I dont get it.

And yes, as you can see. I'm a noob. :D

No I'm not online right now. But when I am, I will try and look for you. I'm non-ladder i think.

btw. I see you are dutch (nl), me too. So i think that the communicating will be a lot easier now. ;)

Try using the angelic combo of Angelic Ring + Amulet for the massive AR.

I have a few more questions.

Is it better to use dual weapons or a single weapon with shield in WW attacks?
And what about the dual swing skill, is it any good?
Is it good to spend some points on dexterity in order to increase AR?

Eventhough I havent answered these questions before,I'll give it a shot.You better wait for a second opinion on these from someone like Hal as I cant find the answers in any guides.

1)Dualwield gives you 100% more attacks,so its better to dualwield in pvm or againt all non-barb characters.
2)frenzy is better.
3)No.
