Does the 300% ed on fort add to my grief ??????? if so how much dmg do i gain is it worth wearing ..?

The 300% ED on Fortitude armour adds on to your overall damage. It is added to the bonus you would recieve from any aura (ie Fanat/Conc/Might) and also the str bonus. That number is then used to calculate your final damage whilst taking into account the damage on your weapon and any min-mix damage from any other gear (includeing grief).

Short answer is: Fort will add a lot of damage. If you are using Fanatisicm, it will times your damage by about 1.25

Yes. It does. It appears that the release of the new runewords has caused people to move away from their precious 50% DR set-ups and going for some tweaker builds.

I just finished a Ladder ZON that is tweaked and after doing some serious research, I have begun the process of a Ladder PALI. I was thinking of going for a build (like all my others) based on an Anni, to save attribute points.

I think I will be building an elemental zealot. This build will utilize the following:

-DREAM Bone Visage
-DOOM Berserker Axe (20% Deadly Strike)
-PHOENIX Kurast Shield
-FORTITUDE Archon Plate
-Gorerider (15% Deadly Strike)
-P. Dracul's
-Ravenfrost (20 dext)
-Ravenfrost (20 dext)
-Highlord's (potential 37% Deadly Strike)
-P. Dungo's
-Annihilus

This yields enough IAS to reach a 4fpa Zeal with lvl 21 FANA, 72% Deadly Strike, a dual-elemental attack, and a chance to cast life-tap. The skill point spread should be:

-20 Fanaticism (3 preq's) = 23 pts.
-20 Zeal (1 preq's) = 21 pts.
-15 Resist Lighting = 15 pts.
-15 Resist Cold = 15 pts.
-10 Salvation = 10 pts.
-10 Holy Shield (4 pre's) = 14 pts.

I think this is as balanced as you could go. For a mercenary I think a merc equipped with (unsure whether Defiance, Might or Blessed Aim):

-Andariel's Mask (RAL)
-FORTITUDE Archon Plate
-INFINITY Eth. Cryptic Axe

I believe this would be satisfactory. As for your damage numbers...your damage output would be:

COLD: 335-355
LIGHT: 3-2073

Remember this is ADDED to your attack. Your attack is going to be quite potent considering you will have maxed FANA, ZEAL, 300% ed from FORT, and 400% ed from PHOENIX. Also remember that you will have DOOM, DREAM and INFINITY in your arsenal. This will grant the following:

-60% (potential) enemy resistance to cold
-55% (potential) enemy resistance to light
-85% ALL enemy resistance
-83% enemy defense
-72% Deadly Strike

IMHO, this would be the build to make a titan with. With a CTA/Spirit on Switch, and a Demonlimb for self-chant, you'd be sitting on a decent AR and some MORE dmg (lvl 23 Enchant adds about 200% to your AR).

This is where I was headed....I need to run the numbers to find out how much str, dext, and vita to run with...but my goal is enoug VITA to reach around 1000-1250 HP with Battle Orders, enough Dext for max-block with lvl 10 Holy Shield, and everything else into strength.

Why? I have only recently started playing the game while trying to squeeze out as much damage as possible from every character. The new ladder runewords make this possible. The only problem areas for this type of paladin would be Chaos Sanctuary and Worldstone Keep. How often does your paladin go there? My lvl 91 Frost Zealot does...but its not something I just go and do.

The -enemy light resist from your mercs Infinity won't work with your damage. It only affects damage he deals.

Right...but, the -85% from Conviction and -15% on DREAM adds up to 100%.

Well you listed the -55% light resist from infinity, so I figured you didn't know.
And I don't see -15% light res on dream anywhere :confused:

Sorry...I was busy looking at other stuff. I was incorrect here also. Let's just say I was thinking of my Amazon...oops. Even so, you will have -60%(potential) enemy cold resistance, -85% enemy elemental resistance...a good amount of cold damage, a good amout of lightning damage and a good amoutn of physical damge. Combined with a -83% to enemy defense I would say that is very good. Been busy lately...data gets misplaced.

wow talking about hijacking my tread.. this totally went of topic ... lol but all the other info helped ....

and let me add when merc weres infinity.. it does add to ur over all dmg to the monster or player ........ -85 to cows 4 a javazon and lighting sorc is so deadly but the aura must be around the cows to take affect
