Oki so Iv played D2 for ages, but just recently started trading on bnet (on etf, bnet etc) So i start encountering ppl that sends some type of program that freezes d2 (does it leave some kinda worm permanently on my computer or what?) My solution was simply just to trade with ppl from etf..

Now to my problem! Recently my computer just turns itself off, in middle of d2.. Now i have not installed any new hardware/software lately, and it only happens in d2, no other game and not while surfing etc.

Have tried downladed latest drivers to my radeon 9800 pro, latest direct3d drivers you name it.. Even tried reinstalling d2

The wierd part is that its only happening in d2. Any one have any thoughts about this? (also after computer is turned off, cant be turned on again for cpl minutes)

Have you checked for viri? If it still can't find anything, you might need to format to get rid of this nasty worm.

I don't recommend that , mabye as a last ditch resort.

Like RTB said try a virus scan and maybe run an adware/spyware remover.

Also it may be a good idea to uninstall All d2 related stuff and go with a fresh install.

Do you use any third party programs not made by Blizzard ?
