Hi

I wanted to build my first melee character and i decided that it will be a shock-zealot. Also it will be based upon the nice set which i colected.
Sazabis Grand Tribute. I think thatthis set is quite amazing.

Armor - quite good defence (mine 907) 50-75 life 30 FHR 25 str
Sword - 150 ED (to 192 max) 40 IAS 15 dex 5 str and +418 % damage to demons !!!!!!!!!
Helm +1 skils and two res

Set bonuses 30 % FRW; 15 %life stolen 27 % to max life +30 res all

Nice and cheap

set consist of only three pieces so we have plenty of place to put other gear

I sugest

shield HOZ
gloves Laying of hands (another +350 % damage to demons (+768 % !!!!!)
two rings (raven/bk)
amu (mara/3off auras/????)
Belt - thundergod/string/upped goldwrap
Boots - gores
charms - life charms/res charms/ar charms

Skills
Zeal - 20
Holy shock - 20
Res Lighting - 20
Rest in holy shield/salvation/sacrifice/preq

It is PvM

I think that could be fun and also nice boss killer

Opinions and sugestions will be nice. Also this set could have 3 sockets. what should i socket into them (thinking about light facets).

The Sazabi set is okay but there are better options.. especially a Crescent Moon runeword would be nice, and not too difficult to get a hold of. The helm and armor are also less than ideal, and even the full set bonus can't compete.. unfortunately. I have a Holy shock paladin myself (lvl72) but I must say I'm not overly impressed, but then again my gear isn't as good as yours:(

I think the gear would be more than fine pvm to get through hell and I think its nice to see different gear being used so try the set!

The plus 3 offensive aura's is very nice extra damage - I guess your end choice will depend on what charms you have.

Only thing I'd suggest you consider a bit more is the back up skills for lightning immunes. Looks like you are going with physical (with the zeal synergies?) Personally, I rate a telefroster bulild better with Holy Freeze (with some synegy form resist cold). The CB on gore riders (I'd love to find some!)would give you three decent types of damage. I found physical/lightning immunes to be more common than you might think! I also found the holy freeze nice to switch on when things were hairy - to help me run away or slow things down a bit.

Holy Freeze is nice vs hell Ancients as well and having it is not dependent on your Merc.

Also leaves you a choice betwen a defiance merc or a might merc which is nice.

Also two auras is more fun!

In additon, I don't think (assuming you are going for a decent level of block) that you need loads of points in Holy Shield. I had one point only - I think its worth it for the block but didn't need the extra defence (especially if toy have a might Defiance Merc). In fact i used Rhyme and guardian Angel and could have done without it altogether using dex for max block and had more for synergies!

thx for the input

about holy shield
i wanted to put some more points into it because i cant use guardian and i dont want to invest heavily into dex.

Btw could you predict if this build could actually hit sth (AR issue)
and once again PvM only so no 20000000 MIL DEFENCE IRONBARBS

To hit is going to be a problem in Hell. I think vs the ancients my to hit was pretty poor (used a tyrant clun with Black in it) - 30% or so at level 84 ish with about 150 dex (hence I'm not adverse to having a slightly higher dex - although as most people would say its not the best way to get AR) - another reason why i'm not fussed on Holy Shield.

Most of the time (against all but act bossess I used a crap wepeoon with ignore targets defence - the normal scimitar Skewer of Krintz or whatever it's called all the way to act 5 hell!). I can see why crescent moon is the weapon of choice 9my only um wnet in my guardian angel).

Tthree ways to fix the to hit - an eth rune in the sword (works very well vs monsters) or demon limb enchant (I just found one of these!). Then there is the angelics set up (I have never found the amulet). Then there are ar charms etc.

You could lose the Ravenfrost to make room for angelics (and have a rhyme Shield on switch for when you need the cannot be frozen)?

Generally I have poor gear so there may be better stuff which you can use.

I have a telsadin, lvl 85, and he is pretty fun. If you absolutely HAVE to use the set and are rich enough not to miss the lit facets, then those should help you a lot. I agree that cresent moon pb would make your life a helluva lot easier. ITD makes such a huge difference as Telsa's don't get a monsterous amount of ar.

If you are going the physical dmg route for secondary, I would consider using dracs. They can save your butt and greatly increase your merc's survivability.

Just an opinion though...

If you have AR problems. Wear Angelic ammy and rings with a Trang belt for the cannot be frozen.

Or use Serapha's ammy with Raven and something else with Lavagout for the Ar bonus.
