need help with 200%fcr firesorc

as title. reason is that its a pvp league sorc, which means you cant use battleorders and duels are held in normal. obviously skill setup isnt a problem then (max fb bolt meteor mastery, 20 telekinesis,1 tele 1 warmth 1 enchant 1 hydra(lvl 96 build is really max), with a +9ES memory for precast(hoping for adds like thunderstorm or shiver^^)

im making this sorc because i want to know how it is to play sorc that gives up skills(+all/+fire) for stats(fcr/fhr/life/mana), decrease damage and increase the weak points.
however, i have no clue how to distribute vita/energy

want to use spirit shield because of the fhr. since in league there are restrictions to balance it(barbs cant tele for example), i dont really fear melee chars, but should i fear amas that shoot at 7fpa? i was thinking of agressive tele and spam fb in their face^^


anyway, i'll tell the setup i was thinking of(ladder), to give a better idea of the life/mana i'll get from gear

10x 40life fire(or close to it)
9x 20life/17mana sc(have 8, waiting for a 9th)
best anni i can get(hope 20/20)

rare circlet(dont have yet) (most likely jah socket)
crafted +2sor/18fcr/mods(dont have either yet ;/)
35%fcr/112mana spirit(have)
perf viper(should i upgrade?)(most likely jah socket)
wiz with 7fhr/single resist sockets
magefist
belt 7fcr/24fhr/19str/46life/16mana/regen(is it worth taking this over arach for the fhr, losing the mana i'd get from a soj instead of fcr ring?)
ring1: 10fcr 18str 8dex 39mana 10allres 30lightres
ring2: 10fcr 16str 34life 78mana

boots: no clue yet. was thinking of waterwalks for the life bonus tho. i can use 90res vs other fb sorc, so will most likely put 7 pts into dex and wear hotspurs vs em.

remember, its a lvl 96 build with about 400 spare statpoints basically.200fcr/86fhr.
I'll have a lvl 16 energy shield, which is 71% absorb. gear/charms provide pretty life and very much mana(i think).

is there any experienced 200fcr fb sorc in the house?^^

i'd hope that too, but was really looking how to distribute life/mana :P im playing meleee chars usually, which is just str for gear, dex for block, rest vit :) thats why im pretty clueless about sorceress'

the only sorc im using sometimes is just boost/mf pvm sor^^

so thats why i need pvp advice^^

Are you going for max block?

In PvP leagues, max block is usually the way to go, even for sorcs. This is because people would rather block attacks from melee than try to tank them.

Also, I would suggest leaving nrg base unless you have less than 800 mana, which you might considering no sojs. If you do add some nrg stats don't be surprised if they don't do what you had hoped. Your mana charms should help alot and could add more if necessary.

Overall I don't fore see you having too much difficutly in this league with 200% fcr and 14k FB. However, I will note that dueling in norm versus a pally with Guardain Angel would be tough (95 resist all would be easy to obtain), he would basically receieve only 100 damage every FB.

so u suggest to use wiz glubs and armor, but no duel occy rings and amu :rolleyes:

good thing i play europe, west seems fecked up :D

also, if u dont put any points in thunderstorm it wont strike, u get the graphic but not the dmg.

huh? jordy care to explain?^^ planned on getting a 3es/1thunderstorm staff. the thunderstorm will only display graphical but not do any damage? does it send opponents into fhr, or not either?

if u dont got any hard points in thunderstorm,u get the thingy at ur foot but it wont strike.
but it would best to ask in the sorc forum for confirmation :D
