An ethereal Gladiator's Bane would be a kickass armour for a barbarian.. both magic and physical damage reduce is very nice, large defence and cannot be frozen.. that being said, there are plenty of other and better ways to spend a zod... Hope to get one someday :) There are also better armours out there.
Don't use it, sell it.
Why?
Because with the price of a zod you can get multiple Duress', which is by far the superior of the two.
It is undoubtably the best NL bvb/ bvmelee armor avaliable and IMO only ladder's Fortitude can compete.

A eth G bane isnt viable, if you have a zod dont waste in a G bane. As luis19 said u can get multiple Durress for a zod rune.

Use Eth Gladiator on your merc instead...for which charachter you should do that i leave it up to you!

glads is underestimated anyway and eth is a top choice for mercs.

Only used eth zod gbane if your 100% BvB. Fhr, cbf, huge defense, the cbf mod alows you to use 2 angelic rings, which grants you massive ar. If not, duress is way better.

couldn't you double angelic in BvB anyways? or is cbf for some reason desirable now?
glad bane is nice but nowhere near worthy of the zod to go in it, the zod can be too well used elsewhere

Eth Glad bane is just fine if you dont want to follow the rest of the sheep through the cookie cutter " omfgz joo haz to use dis causa it what ever1 elsa useie!!! ". I would personally take ethereal zod'ed gladiators bane and wear it with pride just because of a) style points, b) its a decent armor, and c) I am kind of nostalgic / regretful that I didnt save the 3-4 eth zodded banes I had had at one point or another during 09.

Im thinking the reason he said that is because when the patch switched, anything that was socketed with a zod and was etheral, when unsocketed kept its indestructible mod, and thats why we have glitched items.
You could always use it until it about dies then give it to a merc.

Lol, egbane is nice. not many people use them anymore. which is the reason y you should.
So lets get this straight, u all recommend actually using a useless armor like gbane simply because not many other people use it?
Style? Whats the point? You'd lose to any other barb using better armors like: duress, fort, enigma, and even valor.
Amongst nl east ww barbs, duress isnt even that popular. Only recently have people started using duress. Most i've seen use engima, valor, or stone.
Also FHR and CBF are useless bvb so the only good thing about gbane is defense. Duress, engima, fort > gbane; and zod can buy you a few duresses why waste it on a gbane?

Dont think that worked with gladbane as it actually broke - the fact it became indestructible was nothing when it broke.
Same with eth baranas.
The only time that a gladbane could have been 'glitched' is early in 1.10 when the zod didn't break gladbanes and they hadn't fixed the 'glitch'.
eth valor and hoz etc didn't break so the zod bug works on them.

Some people like to try different things. BVB dueling is not the end all of dueling you know. Hell some of us still like to play pvm.
why pvm with an inferior armor that costs more than a duress.
the CB on duress is ownage pvm and it has resist.

The people who "LOL Noob using gbane u suck" always make me laugh. I wear it with pride.
That being said, if I only had one Zod (of which i have none, since I don't play on bnet anymore), I would find a better use for it than a Gladiator's Bane. However, if i had a few Zods to play with, I wouldn't hesitate to zod an eth Gladiator's Bane, I'm sure I could find a fun character for it.
I wouldn't say "LOL Noob using gbane u suck"
I would say "LOL Nub u wasted a zod on a suxy suxy armor gg"
but seriously its a waste, duress beats its bad both pvm and pvp so why waste a HR when you can get a MUCH better armor for the cost of an um.
Duress costs an um? What about the 3 socket archon? What about the rerolls to make a good one in order for it to compete with fortitude? If you want to make a good duress (Around 3 rerolls), then you for sure will end up paying something like an high rune.

3 socket bad defense archons are worth nothing, and if its pvm you don't need 15%ed archons and several rerolls. It's obvious that the eGlad isnt for pvp, so all that counts is that even a very low end duress is a lot better than eGlad. That being said, Glad does like stylish ^.^

I, now owning an eth zod'd gbane, think it's perfectly viable depending on the duel, as most cannot afford something like an eth zod'd valor. It's defence can make the difference in a melee duel, along with it's other mods which allow the use of angelics and other runes besides 'cham/shael' in your gear.
I agree that, for most duels, fortitude/good duress will proove more useful.
