Pvm Frenzy Weapons

Hey folks,

My buds and I are doing 7-person PvM run and I've chosen the barb this time 'round. I'm interested in a Frenzy barb but never played barb in my life! (That's a lie, i did an ik barb once, quit at 83)

But the point is, I'm lookin' for teh sxeist weapons 'round. I PREFER Axes, but I'll go with anything better y'all can recommend.

Cost is NOT an issue. Feel free to get creative!

Okay, in the Barbarian's hands, the Legendary Mallot is the most static damage, 162-190 at it's minimum requirements, and the Zerker Axe does 94-252. Averages of 176 and 173 respectively. In motion, however, the Zerker axe has a base speed 0 and Mallot has 20, so the Zerker axe is hands down the best socketable weapon that I've discovered in my 20 mintues of research.

So, Now the next question stands: what are the best runewords and the best Unique weapons for PvM?

im actually really excited to be making my first axe barb as well! ive had 2 berserkers in my stash for a long time... one normal with 5 sockets, and one eth with 6 sockets. whats even more exciting is, i came out with extremely lucky rolls on both the beast and botd... a 268%/39str beast and a 392%/14LL ebotd. :thumbsup: man that was worth the wait that it took to accumulate the runes! cant wait to get started on him now!

Beast & Botd?

I hear a lot aobut Beast, but I don't see what's good about it frankly... I'm thinking of either botd, doom, last wish or grief. Can't make up my mind, and now you bring up beast. With the fanat, is it physically possible to hit the 5 frames? Or is frenzy still capped?

I'd use grief and crescent moon phase blades. High physical dmg from the gried and static field from crescent moon. It will be easy to hit the breakpoints as well...

Go with Schaeffer's Hammer... nice damage, lightning resist, a butload of attack rating, indestructible and... chance to cast static field on attack... Kick ***... Although rather slow but with the right setup can reach 5fps...

beast would be good for open wounds, crushing blow, fana aura, 40 ias, +str bonus and not so bad def..

cb works like a charm on pvm

fana increases dmg of ur other hand weap too then...

if i would make a frenzy i'd sure use botd zerker and beast zerker

i myself decided to make a frenzy barb, and im really fallin to the side of griefs...il have 100% deadlystrike. ive already calculated the dmg to around 5k actualy more. 5k with 100% chance of doing double that. i already have 35/389 and 37/375 grief phase blade. i choose phaes because grief already does insane dmg, dont need as much ias to hit breakpoints and for pvm they r industructable so i wont have to spend all my time in town repairing them lol.

crecent moon would be cool, but with my experience using grief...they do too much dmg already ;)

i have a duel botd frenzy it's just sick how fast those posion nova's are shooting out of there:P
