hello all. i just thought i should share my little story here with you guys because its pretty funny. i was starting a new necro the other day and made a game called act1 chant qs. so i brought in my new nec and my chanter. fastforward now to 30 mins and 12 lvls later. a lvl 13 bowzon comes in (in-toxic or some name to that extent)and immediately asks for a chant. so i give chant and go back to my sewer run with the other guys i had been questing with. as soon as i go down i hear hostility....by the zon i had just chanted!!
now, the way i play, is that i usually dont even start twinking chars till about lvl 40 or so, so my necs gear was craptastic. immediately i tp back to town as i see the zon chasing down our little party we had going.
he didnt get anyone tho and so he starts saying the usual b-net prepubescent (sp?) catch phrases. enuff of this i say. so out of my three duelers (15 ts ***,18 frost/zealer,32 hammerdin) i go for my ts assassin. load her up in that same game that our lil pker friend is in.
i start to head outside and remember just in time that the zon has been chanted.....by me...bah!!! i ask if he will duel me when his chant wears off, and he harshly declines. at first i think about leaving all together, but then i get over it and chant myself as well. before i walk out i think again because i realize the zon still has an advantage due to the fact that she has chanted projectiles and im still gonna be striking up close with the infamous clegaw sword!! due to this indecison, the pk starts back with the b-net tough guy talk....but while still in the field. that was his 2nd mistake (first mistake was going in my peaceful questing game to begin with).
so i ready bos and charge at the pking zon!!! he is instantly caught off guard and is on the run right off the get!! im faster, so i catch up...swing...miss...catch up...swing...miss. this happens a few more times due to his running away tactic...untill there was nowhere left for him to run...but into a wall! stuck on the wall he immediatly gets whacked my my sword to a little less than half life, i follow up with another quick chop...which to my great surprise (i knew he was a maphacker, chickener,etc) drops a shiny little ear, and then he immediatly drops out of the game in the same instant!!!
sweet,I mumble to my half-asleep boxer dog, my first ear with this assassin, and it was a pkers ear at that!!! due to us both being chanted, i didnt even get to unleash one ts....just two regular attacks.
i really wish that niether of us had been chanted, but o well. the zon came back in with another char (a lvl 1 zon..lol) and started talking about how cheap I was. he complained he was typing when i charged him......so thats my fault...right???
anyway, justice was served for the time being, so i save + exit with the noob still crying about the loss and with his old zons shiny ear in my grasp!!!
i thought this would be a good read not because of the duel itself (which was actually pretty easy and short), but because i was hosting a legit questing game, which was ruined, as they usually are, by some char that is 30 times better built than your new up-and-coming chars. it was nice to finally be able to stand up to the kiddie hacks and drop the pks ear on the ground....next to my feet.....the feet of one of the very few legitimate low lvl duelers left!! almost all the people on these forums are against hacks, are so they say, but i definatley have my doubts, especially when it comes to mh. but then again, thats a different thread all together...now isnt it?
as far as the general b-net public population is concerned, i feel like im the last legit left. 0 hacks. is that such a hard concept these days... i dunno. im getting too ot here. hope you guys enjoyed the read, if i was more of a comp guru, i would have some nice screenies, but that requires a little bit of knowledge on the subject, which i have which i have virtually none of, heh!! anyways have fun guys, and erase all third party progs on your comp if you are one of the closet forum hackers...thx!!!!
