[L] Need help: what sorc to make

The choice is obviously between:

Fire
Cold
and
Lightning

If you could share your experience, tell me which of these elements easily gets negated/resisted or which is good in general against many different classes, I'd be very happy.

I'm talking only about pubby duels, in which people don't usually change their gear often, they usually run with tgods & ravenfrost. But exceptions do occur of course.

By the way, the sorceress is meant to be used with energy shield (tk maxed & es 1 or 20 pts)

I prefer lightening . The damage is good though some people may laugh I think as long as it gets the job done that's all that matters . HTH

I found that frozen orb sorcs are lots of fun once you get above 1k damage. Can kill most races in one orb. :D

ES Sorcs' are best used by FO'ers. I suggest using that since you'll have enough points to max both plus it is very difficult to negate Cold since it has negative effects to resists to the opponent unlike Light or Fire which increases your damage.

i have a lightning sorc and i own everyone EXCEPT FIRE SORCS. so theres your choice.

Agreed, definately your best bet for pubby killing with ES. Just keep moving and release orbs at will. You should have plenty of mana and balance pts between CM and ES so CM is at least -100% and ES is 75% absorb.

Wow.. Just when I thought this thread was going to die, it started to live today..

Thank you all for input. After calculating some skillpoints, the orb sorc is probably the best way to go, I agree. Even started to make one soon after posting this thread and I must say I am satisfied with her.

The only thing to which I lose most of the time is a fireball sorc. She just sucks my 2.2k mana pool like crazy =) Two hits and I'm down with my 500 life.

in my experience, the bliz sorc is the best u can possibly have for dueling, i own every1, i lost 3 times with her and i can take on 5 people at once.(usually). lightning is probly the best for runz i think...but thats my opinion. my bliz sorc kills all but wind druids in one hit.
