As a melee dueler, how high does your attack rating have to be to be competitive?

Ideally: As high as you can conceivably get it. :)

10k is the MINIMUM I'd consider on a high level melee dueler, ideally shooting for 15-20K or so. (Visionary mod on a helm helps greatly, as does Fool's on a weapon, if you can shop/gamble/find a sexy rare)

it depends a lot on the character class you are+what class you're duelling. i hit 17k ar without angelics or other stuff that REALLY boosts ar(no cerebrus, only 1 ravenfrost), but druids have low defense^^

how do you get a druids ar that high?

mine is a fury/rabies shifter usin tombreaver, and 1 raven like ur sayin, and he only has 8k ar.

Most melee duelers need 10kAR+ Vs. Pally/Barbs you'll need a lot more from 15k-20k.

To get this much AR you need a lot of charms and angelic combo works.
