I think that the speedy mario 3 video was proven to be a script running, though I could be mistaken.

If only one person can play enough Diablo II to get the only legit Zod rune all the others are duped from, I'm sure a Japanese kid can play enough Mario III to get that good.

I saw the video though. It's scary if it's real. Aside from the levels where the scroll rate is set, at no point does the screen stop moving by at full speed.

I did a search on Yahoo with "Mario 3 in 11 minutes" and the 3rd link listed had the video.
