Question about Cta Effects

Well I Havent been on non ladder for about 2 weeks (what I play) because I traded for some uber ladder items and was getting all the new runewords, long story short, I get everything I want and come back to Non ladder.

To my surprise the economy has jumped around, high runes and sojs prices are fluctuating. I don't want to get stuck losing out by keeping sojs or runes so I try and think about what I could turn them into. I am looking around my characters and notice they all have Ctas except my Mf Blizz Sorc. So I spend half an hour and finally get a 6 Bo one for a resonable price.

Now my question:

Using this Cta, Lvl 13 Bo (I know its low, I dont use sojs though, I have mf rings :lol: ) my sorcs health goes from 1003 to 1550. Not a bad improvement if you ask me.

But Her Merc's (Act 5) Health goes from 1700ish to 2900ish

Now my Question: If The merc is getting 70% bonus right on the dot, why am I only getting 50%???

Stupid merc gets it better than I do, why is that?

If your sorc is using shako for example, the +life from shako isnt multiplied by bo. Your merc probably has that much life without any +life so it looks like he gets a better %bo.

I heard that even life bonuses from +vit don't get multipled by BO, but (1) I'm not sure if I remember that correctly and (2) I never checked that so far, even though it would probably take just a minute :)

You are correct. +life/Clvl, +vit and +vit/Clvl aren't boosted by +% life.
