What type claw do I need to use to roll a claw w/ +3traps or +2 asn skills, and +3 light sentry?

I'd suggest jsut shopping for these claws if they're the only mods you really need. Your best bet would be to go into hell and rescue anya, she's always got a nice selection of claws. If you don't see any you like go through the red prtal next to her and then back to town and her inventory is re-set. Just repeat this till your done.
Not too sure which claws you could gamble with them on, it'll depend on the item level but suwaya's (sp) can deffinatly get those mods, though +all skills and +3 to a tree can't spawn on the same weapon.

a rare claw could only have those combinations of prefix's but im not sure if its even possible to spawn witch hunters and cunning on the same claw. im too lazy to look it up. Its somewhere in the item generation rules.

my question was a cheap attempt at someone to say they had them and would sell them :).

though I am wondering which claw is better to use: greater or runic talons.
At this point I don't care about the extra dex I'll need.

I've been doint he anya thing for a while, she just won't put out.

rerolling tentds to give higher avg mods than what she spawns.

Nice, though the map hack is slightly embarrassing.

From arreat summit:
3 Perfect Gems (of any type) + 1 Magic Item = 1 New Random Magic Item of the Same Type

This recipe will reroll any item with the identical input item level. So you could either find a claw in say the pits (any magical claw) then cube it and it will be able to get the mods (me thinks). Or you could find the item level required for that particular mod and find the claws in a certain game area with that exact item level to give you the greatest chances of getting the desired mod.

Think that all makes sense :D

EDIT: I think the iLevel for the claw to get cunning + quickness + 3LS is 60, so any Claw from Act 5 in Nightmare and onwards can give you the above mods, with the Claw from Act 5 Nightmare having the best chance of rolling these mods.

So...

Is it better to use greater or runic talons

yep they exist, i'll tell my tale.

i was mf'ing, possibly for hours, and i had gotten nothing worthy of even picking up. In the corner of my eye i spotted a blue war fist in meph's lair, so out of pure desperation and boredom i picked it up, brought it back to cain, and there it was, +2 assassin skills, +3 lightning sentry, ethereal. Now even though durability doesnt go down when casting traps (I think? I made a thread that disputed this a long time ago but i can't remember) all i remember is that there was one skill that I had intended on using but it lowered durability.

so what was ol' pryz to do? well i socketed it (only got one socket ofcourse with my luck) and sold it to some poor fool. Don't remember what i got for it, but it was something delectable.

Greater, lower req's but same speen (-30) so easier to hit 9 frame trap speed. Blade talons are -20 but only req 50str/50dex and will still hit speed break point pretty easily.

So…
Which claws on “average” has the “better” chance to roll either
Cunning w/ suffix (lvl 45) or Witch-hunter w/ suffix (lvl 42)
“Greater talons” or “Runic Talons”

I think greater talons will be easier to roll as you can find them sooner because they have a lower level. i.e. you can find them in areas where you can get roughly the right prefix level.
