Today, just a minute ago I was doing Nightmare cows with my charge paladin, using a martel I just traded for previously that day. I play Softcore Classic East, Ladder. It was a decent martel, it was 230 damage (pretty good for classic standards, I never played expac, but I know their items do like 8x the damage) I was charge locking cow after cow, and really abusing the skill, then I go to charge a cow and charge punch him, and thinking my weapon just broke, go in my inventory to switch to my battle hammer, then I look and see that my weapons gone completely. There was a FOH pally using conviction right next to me, the time it happened, it seemed to be disapear right after i saw a huge pack of cows with the aura around it. Not that it would matter, but I had another Rare martel in my inventory, which was 179 damage (crap), it didn't disapear.

It was a big kick to the face, I was getting good levels and it just sucks man. There's no way I could've dropped it on accident. My inventory was closed, and I've never dropped an item before on accident. I've been playing a while, and nothing like this has ever happened.

Sounds to me like you might have traded for a duped weapon. These sort of things seem to happen quite abit to people, though mostly it's runes that disappear, not rare items.

There isn't much you can do about it now (unfortunatly), as you can't get the item back. Sorry for your loss mate.

As far as I know, duped items don't normally disapear while you're playing in a game. If it were to disapear, it would do so when you first enter the game, not even allowing you a chance to see it.

You might have dropped it on the ground accidently, like by accidently pressing the hotkey for the inventory, and clicking around quickly.

Agreed, no other choice really. Did you fell asleep?

And who has dupes classic ladder anyway, especially mediocre martels :P
