Why only Baal GCs?

Long story short I used a GC from a monster in Hell WSK for cubing and got myself an ele skiller, plain but still good :rolleyes:
Couldnt wait any longer for Baal to drop a GC and my stashes was getting full...
So my question is why only cube Baal GCs? What attractive stats can it give that others cant? Cus the most wanted stats when cubing are +skills and Sustenance/Vita, and as fas as I know they can spawn on lvl 85 monsters too. Or am I wrong bout that?

GC's from the nm flayer jungle and beyond can be rolled into skill gcs. the higher the level, the better second mods you can have on it. There are some people out there that would have taken your hell baal gc and rerolled it until they came up with skiller plus another mod such as high life, resists, etc. I personally pick up any hell gc's I come up with... problem I'm having is getting the pgems though :)

Anyone know which stats a hell baal gc can have that the others can? I checked arreats and it looks like monsters from hell wsk can also spawn vita charms. So I fail to see the point why a baal gc would be any better than a gc from pits or wsk.

What is the suffix that gives +41-45 life? Is it just a higher level version of "vita"? I got 40 life on a gc of vita from the pit.

still called "of vita" but it is divided into (77)[36-40](91)[41-45]

Quick followup. From 1.09 I recall that Baal and Nihlithak could drop small charms with higher poison damage than anything else could generate. Does this or anything similar apply to large or grand and/or still relevant in 1.1 or not?

Of course, got confused with the Baal Small Charms. There is no truth about the rumor of chests/props being able to drop Grand charms with more than 45 life, in fact the highest Vita suffix they can get in 1.10 has +35 - 40 life. In 1.07/1.08 there are chests with an Ilvl greater than 100, but even in those versions the highest area_lvl is 109, just one too low for +45 - 50 life.

I clearly remember seeing a guy with a +1traps 50life gc in the first 1.10 ladder season. Does that mean 50 life is the max?

+45 life is max in 1.09 and 1.10. That charm must've been hacked onto bnet, and possibly transferred from non-ladder to ladder.

Can people do that?? I remember seeing strange stuff on open (+300 resist all, 100,000 defense armors, and so on) that was obviously hacked, but can ppl get hacked items onto ladder?
