I am sick of some people

Hey guys, I am new to these forums and I dont mean to start our relationship off right away on bad tones. But is anyone else sick and tired of all the STUCK UP people on Diablo II right now? Honest to GOD. I have a Barbarian with the IK Set. And no matter what I do, atleast once in every 5 games someone has to take it upon themselves to laugh and inform me how ****ty the Immortal King set is.

Yeah I get it ok? I fricken get the fact that for some reason a awesome set for a Barbarian has pissed some people off to no end. Maybe I just dont feel like going through endless amounts of trading to get myself better items? Or maybe I just dont want to scrape and scrounge to try to find the perfect set for my barb. Or maybe I just ****ing like to glow ok? Get off my back about it.

And no I dont want to "Str8 up dool my pally11111!!!11oneoneoneShift+1" because 90 percent of people who duel are so stupid they should be classified as a different type of species.

I like to glow. That and it's just fun to wear something that's actually possible to collect, unlike all those other barbs with endlessly duped charms and bugged armors and helms with duped runes. =(

the ik set is ragged on way too much. In practical pvm terms, ik is above average, things like botd and grief are overkill of overkill.

I just mention this because 90% of high levels coming into Low level dueling games are complete morons with IK barbs and Tal's sorcs.

He's not meant for pvp but I've been lucky enough to kill some pvpers. Not LLDs though. :lol:

BarbaZon: I have an Ik barb as well and I'm also told the same every now and again. Funniest one of those "Ik suxx" I got was from this guy who was playing with me. he kept telling me how ik suxxed for a while. I basically ignored him. After everyone else left he asked me if I had any xtra ik stuff to trade :lol: I told him I did. But wouldnt be fair of me to trade him items that he thought suxxed to begin with :lol:

70% of the time its mostly tatic. Getting into the mind of the dueler and stirring this sh|t out of him/her.

Aim of this game is to amuse you not frustrate. If they wanna abuse you tell them they need a life and stop wasting money on gear. Normally gets them going.

I have an IK fury werewolf that uses all ik except for helm and I think he is a great pvm char. I do decent damage and have good life with almost maxed res. What more could you ask for?

yeah, i agree, there are some really good ik barbs, and i have trouble beating them in duelz, and they do really good in runz. i had an IK barb once, but i messed up making him, so he sux. but yeah, pougee_au is right, most of the people who pick on you are ebay'ers, and yes, they are wasting their time, and do need a life. in my opinion IK barbs are just as good...if not better than a barb w/ a botd weapon. GL w/ the asses though dude.

Sadly, I have to disagree with the PvP strength of the IK set. It has nice bonuses, sure. But most of the time it comes down to the fact that you're using a 2 handed weapon with, in a PvP point of view, sub-par items.

When a barb is considered weak while using 400+ ebotd warpikes, enigma/fortitude, etc then IK barbs are definitely going to be made fun of. There's a reason for the cockiness and arrogance that is associated with the cookie-cutter or godly items. It's because they're damn good. No one disses Arachnid Mesh when they only have a cracked sash.

IK, personally, is useless for me. Now, dont take it wrong, but its just that, to use the IK set effectively, you MUST to with the Mace Mastery path, and there are no decent 2h-maces. Mauls have a low range, slow attack speed (except IK) but yes, they do deal nice dmg. Yet, I prefer having the choice of more weapons.
One other good thing about IK set is the CB bonus on the Maul. DANG!

It may be an ok set, collecting the pieces. But, actually saving up and trading FOR one, when you could put those runes or whatever towards some decent gear? Doesn't make sense to me oO

I'm not saying ppl are right in insulting you for your choice of gear, but they do have a point if you're PVP.
