View Full Version : Cap on DR?
Is there a cap on Damage Reduced and Magical Damage Reduced? Not the actual % but the number, for example on Galdiators Bane.
On straight (magic) damage reduce there is no (reachable) cap.
is the cap on % damage reduce 50%?

this should cover everything, and if you didnt already know this link should cover many topics you may want to know, if you should have any more questions later on here (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=551)
hope my rambleings help :)
Thank you for the replies. Just one more question concerning magic damage and regular damage. What type of dmg is considered magic? Is it for example Hammers, Fire Ball, Orb, etc? And the regular dmg would be ww, frenzy, conc, zeal, etc? I tried looking for this in the site you listed above, but didnt talk about it.
In this case magic damage is the elemental dmg plus the real magical dmg. Magic damage reduced by x (also x%) reduces cold/fire/lightning/magic dmg.
Pure magic dmg is done only by a few attacks: Magic Arrow (conversion), Teeth, Bone Spear, Bone Spirit, Berserk, Sanctuary (pulse), Blessed Hammer and Holy Bolt.
It's sometimes confusing for newcomers, and it's understandable why.

So if I were to duel in public games, it would be better to have more magic dmg reduced then regular dmg reduced, right?
