@necrolemming Deaths Web is that Expenisive ??!! I realize it's one of the rarest items in the game but it is only usefull for 1 type of necro whereas HoZ is the best shield for any pally and the shako is one of the best helms for most classes the only things better imo are crown of ages andies and perhaps a vamp gaze for some melee classes.

BTW, whoever says HoZ is the best Pally shield hands-down is a n000000000b. :p

Death's Web is one of the top 4 rarest items in the game (Tyrael's is the rarest, and then there's Mang Song's, Astreon's, and Death's Web in no particular order).

To add to what lemming said, HoZ is only the best pally shield for something like a hammerdin or a FoH'er. Melee pally's would be better off with an 'Exile' in an elite pally shield with automods of resists or +AR/ED or even a nice Alma Negra if resists aren't a problem.

PS: I didn't even notice the swearing until Krem brought it up. :confused:

with the HoZ i guess it's a matter of preferance for me 50Ra and + 4 to combat skills + 2 to rest is a kick *** combo ill go look at an exile for comparison but for me resists in hell always seem to be problem

Also any1 out there with a trangs belt or arm of king the belt is most importantthe last piece of trangs set that i need

Edit : just saw exile shield and whats so special about it waste of runes for a vex and an ohm?? i strongly disagree that it's better than a HoZ the 16+ defiance aura is good but you can get that of a merc too the life tap on striking is nice elimintes ll equipment and+ 5 max cold and fire a bit of gravy but i dont think it tops a HoZ. the Alma Negra is a better shield however I'm not familiar with all 1.10 uniques and after seeing alma negra i am inclined to agree that a good 1

I doubt that you could get a Death's Web for all the p.gems in the world. Your best bet for a Death's Web would be to check the SPF, as there's currently a huge giveaway going on and Death's Web is one of the items included. Or you could run pindle a few thousand times, and by then you should either have a Death's Web, or the uber items required to trade for one. I wouldn't hold your breath for a Death's Web though, I don't remember the last time such a thing was traded on this forum, or even put on a FT list. IIRC , when a Stormlash (an item roughly as valuable as a Death's Web) was traded here not too long ago, it went for an IKSC, Full Tal's, a BK ring, and a Mara's.

As for 'Exile', it's pretty much the best melee paladin shield out there. Find the right base shield to stick those runes into, and you can have over 1000 defense and either 45 resist all or +AR/ED from your shield alone, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 30k defense total. You could get a defiance aura from a merc, but if you have an 'Exile', you can get a Might merc or a Holy Freeze merc and still have your high defense.

On battle.net realms a crappy death's web would cost you about a GUL rune. A GUL rune is built by crafting about 16 PUL, and 1 PUL would give you about 25pgems, so a crappy death's web (on battle.net) would cost 25*16=400 pgems.
A good death's web would cost about 1 HR, so... many, many, many PUL runes... and many many many many many many many ... many pgems... :)

but we are talking about battle.net, and those prices are very different (and much lower) from SP's prices... :)

Maybe noone would give you a death's web for any amount of pgems, even for 100000, even if it was a crappy one... ;)

Exactly. We play Single Player, and trade values are all according to an individual's need. Best thing to do is to offer something that is on someone else's ISO list in exchange for something you want. I sincerely doubt that the reply you receive will have anything to do with the value of the item you offer.

EDIT: By the way, I've given away a Death's Web because I couldn't use it. It's wrong to say that no offer you make for the item will be sufficient to draw someone's intention. In support of what kabal said, do check the giveaways. You never know what you're going to find.

Heh looks like I'll never get my hands on 1 ;-) 1000 pgems quite the the price
I'll have to hope hell baal is kind ;-) nightmare baal has been good to me time to start owning him in hell :) currently in act 2 (I hate this act btw evrything is poison immune :( and the merc does'nt kill as fast I'd like him too). although it takes 2 novas to kill normal monsters i am still owning
hopefully once i get trangs belt the - 25% will (hopefully) speed things up
also. and about the exile shield I am begining to see your point. my point of view is biased on my poison necro where +2 to all and + 2 to a usefull skill tree = well i dont know clicking on a skill shrine boots my nova dmg by arond 500 with another + 2 my nova would be boosted 800 - 1000 dmg, for me + skills are evrything and yet for a pally the life tap would be better than the odd 50ed and 50-100 ar and def. but then i don'nt really play paladins i like the directed chaos of the necromancer cheers

come on people with trangs belt i know your out there somewhere this is the last piece of equipment i really need, the arm of king is for another necro i am gonna start soon and the deaths web seems to be impossibly out of my price range for now :(
