I just read a cheat for a barb on gamefaqs that makes him unable to die but leaves him at 1 hp. Sounds like a stupid joke. He needs str of 185, dex of 87 and a flamebellow and 1 to leap. You leap and in midair, you use inferno and that's how it's suppose to work; then if ne1 tries to kill you, the barb's hp will only drop to 1.

I'm sure some people tried it and it didn't work, otherwise we'd see lots of barbs with flamebellow pking. However, IF this trick worked, would it be considered a bug/cheap to use, besides dueling of course? If this trick worked, barbs with flamebellow would be safe from pk...

Well, I'm not a barb player, but I've heard of it before. It's been ironically titled the "Flamebellow" bug. I believe the reason it isn't abused is the part that this site left out. True, you can't die, but as I understand you also can't kill anything. Thus making it a neat parlor trick, but of no real value. There may be more to it, not sure if you can even move after it actually, but I haven't read enough on it to know for sure.

Actually, I seem to vaguely remember something about it now that you reminded me. If what you say is true about not dying, then it makes a very good if not perfect anti-pk measure if you can perform it in time, i could test it in sc( before ne1 calls me a noob, sc is the perfect place for testing such endeavors, whereas hc is the real thing: it's just like in boot camp(sc), soldiers are given fake weapons to shoot fake targets to improve their skills; then they are given real weapons to shoot real live targets in a war/battle(hc)).

wow i love that sc/hc anology! usually i always anger the softies by calling it wussiecore....but your way is the same point as mine....just a little more respectful, which is something i have a little trouble with sometimes when dealing with the sc population!!!

Old news. Great for tanking, useless for everything else. Wonder if you could weapon switch to ondal or w/e and go into safe leech mode? And just a tip. *raises flameshield* The whole arrogance thing stops a lot of new players from even trying hc. Because let's be honest here. If you were on the other side of the fence (sc), and all the hc people you seen acted like this, would you want to play with them? I would think not. Perhaps later if they meet nice hc people they might give it a try... but that could be months, and the game is mostly dead as it is. And by nice I mean not so condesending, not giving OMFG FREE PLZPLZPZLZPZ?!!!!!!!!?!?!?!

I think it's fine to leave things as they are. Most of the nice/decent people on SC are there for the dueling aspect, which is a totally different animal on SC. You'd be hard pressed to try to convince them to leave that system.

I think those types (mh/tppk) would come either way, just because they look so cool in chat with their red name. I was speaking from my own experience. Though now that I think about it... how many human players are left anyways?
