Upping item

Ok not realm specific

What items ar the beat to upgrade, and I know there are alot of them, so dont get into a heated disscusion about which one is better to upgrade. I am just looking for a few decent ones to upgrade.

Weapons
Shields
Helms
Boots
Gloves
Belts
Armors

I'll give you a few as a start.

Weapons - Headstriker! amazing deadly strike, high damage, does the job well.

Armors - Shaftstop. Good defensive armor, upgraded -> more def = better :)

both items are cheap to get, and upgraded they are useful all through the game.

goldwrap (to battle belt for the 16 slots)
perf ribcracker
tiamat's rebuke

and i am considering upping a buriza to use on a strafer with hellrack on switch.

I am just thinking ahead as to what people are going to be wanting other than the ladder only runewords when we start the new ladder season again. Figure that I would get a jump on it now, up the items that cant be upped on NL and then sell for a (d2)profit later LOL.

Arreats has a lot of defense upped if you get a good one.

To be precise, Arreat's is an example of an item which might come up with less defense than before, although the chance is rather small. An armor with a %def bonus will have a base defense of max+1 if it's not upgraded, but an upgraded one will get a random base defense.

Arreat's non-upped: Base defense 121
Arreat's upped: Base defense 117-168

As a rule of thumb, don't adjust your strength in order to be able to wear an upped item. Just upgrade those which you will be able to wear with your current strength.

Arreats has a lot of defense upped if you get a good one.

dont up arreats......i took a def loss both times i did (youd think i would have learned the first time,lol). also dont up vamp gaze iether for same reason as the arreats. i like upping these:
