hey guys, Im making a Fo/Es sorc for pvp and im trying to figure out gear.. im non-ladder. I figured theres no way to get to 105% fcr with the classic fathom+ormus+Nightwing and max block as well. so im wondering... what should i do? If i just go occy-vipermagi-magefist-arachnid, i get to 100% so i can either get a 10% fcr ring and get whistans for example or just opt for soj+lidless.

what do u guys think? go block? or more mana+more fcr?

I don't know i they actually exist, but I THINK that there is a small charm that grants +5% fcr, if they do exist, that would work better wouldn't it?

Fathom is a ladder only item. Unless you were lucky enough to get one from last ladder season transfered to non ladder then you wont be able to get one.

Easiest way - Im guessing u want 105% fast cast for teleport only? not for combat?

Then just use Wizzy Spike and Lidless wall sheild - 70% fast cast on switch. Then switch back to fathom/shield when in combat.

If you dont want to do that then I would be inclined to use Occy anyway 10% more fast cast, and good ressys.

If u dont like that option then :

Crafted Amulet can have 20% fast cast
2* fast cast rings with 10% each.
Fathom has 20%
Lidless wall 20%
Ormus 20%
Arachnid Mesh 20%

So even with current setup u can get 120%


Max Block Question - If you use Energy sheild you wont need max block as much perhaps just socket Lidless with an Eld then you can go for 47% block which will be fine. (40% lidless , 7% from Eld)

U will need some fast hit recovery small charms to make up for your lack of blocking though.

small charms with fast cast.... ***droools**** wish they were around :)

Leaves you with either getting a fcr ring, or using lidless / spirit.

Lidless Block Sor: 40%
Lidless with Eld Block Sor: 47%
Eth "Spirit Monarch" Block Sor: 42%

He plays non-ladder so spirit isnt an option.

Good point on magefist though there is another 20% right there.

Easy to get to that 105% breakpoint :)

Im using Fathom too and Im using this gear:

Helm: Nightwing
Armour: Up'd Viper Um'd 30%
Weapon: Fathom 20%
Shield: Lidless 20%
Glove: Trang 20%
Belt: Arach 20%

Thats 110% I can keep my Mara and Sojs

You can always get some 2/10 or 2/20 (pricey) ammy or just plain 10%FCR ammy with resist.

Ammy: +2sorc, 20%FCR, All Resist Ammy

Lidless doesnt offer block -

U r a sorc u shouldnt be getting hit too often. u can socket it with 7% extra block and get just under 50% block.

If u find u r getting hit a lot , then use a HF merc , they even slow down cold immunes.

Though the hitting can be avoided. Lidless does offer block...

My old 200FCR sorc (pre-spirit) had max block with a Lidless... it is possible if you really want it...
