Anyone think this could work? Got any suggestions on skill layout? That's where I'm having most trouble...dunno what to put more points in.
Lycanthropy and Werebear I figure I can prebuff, so it would be better to dump the most points into Maul for AR and damage.

Skills:
19 Maul
9 Lycan
4 Werebear
1 Werewolf
1 Oak

34 Total

Gear

HELM: 45+ Max 3s pelt with +werebear/maul/lycan
ARMOR: 45+ Max 3s/70 Life Light Plate
WEAPON: 4shael/2IAS/2nd mod / 6 Shael Crowbill for 5 frame Maul
SHIELD: 30Max bsod or 15max Whitstans?
Bloodfists
Bladebuckle
Sander Boots

Inventory filled with 9-10max GCs with 2nd mods, 3max/ar/10-15life sc, 15 life scs.

5 Frame Maul
7 Frame FHR
7 or 8 Frame Block depending on shield

Suggestions/Criticisms anyone?

Glad to see another LLDer around these forums! It looks like you have a pretty good setup to me, but I can't really say for sure with a lack of experience on my part. :(

I think for your armor, your best bet would be to get a really good Ornate Plate with "Ease" or "Freedom" requirements to save you STR points. Then, pop a couple +Max/-Req jewels in it, and you got some LLD godly! ;)

Also, check out www.lld101.com. They're kinda part of this site, as it's a bunch of people from the Clan Honor forum link that go there. They helped me out a LOT with several builds. Good luck with your bear bro!

I dont know about skill / stat gear set up. But I am pretty sure these are viable since I know of one on useast and he says he does pretty good.

Yep I posted this in LLD101 too. I never see any games up though...I'm on west NL.

Anyways, I'm worried uninterruptible characters like zealots and conc barbs will run me over because of my poor fbr/fhr and because stun will be ineffective.

Gear changes I have already decided are:
Weapon: 6 shael Naga
Belt: Death's Belt

I also contemplated a fury wolf, although he would require a +3 fury pelt to be effective.

Skills:
20 Lycanthropy
10 Werewolf
1 Feral
1 Rabies
1 Fury
1 Oak

Gear would be the same for the most part. Belt could be different because cold doesn't affect wolf attack speed. Guess I'll just try them both.

For a shield, go with a "Rhyme" Grim Shield. That will give you a good block rate, and the Cannot Be Frozen. Then, use String of Ears in place of that Death's Belt.

Have you cheked the calculator for wereform attack speeds? I sure hope that 120 IAS in a Naga is going to get you some good attack speed and isn't wasting valuable space that a 15+ maxer could fill.

For shield I was thinking a 15 max Whitstan would be better because of the stats saved and the extra dmg. I'll have to see which I prefer I guess. Whitstan/Death or Rhyme/String.

6 shael Naga will give 5 frame maul or 6/4 fury. If I replace 1 shael with a max, I think maul goes to 6 and fury goes to 7/5.

lvl 29

Rhyme [Block, CBF]
Bladebuckle
Bloodfist
Maxed Armour
Maxed Pelt w/ Maul/Bear/Lycan/Oak
Sander's Boots

Max Maul for level, split Lycan/Bear as desired
1 in Oak if you don't get it on Pelt.

6 Shael DimBlade is cheap option for weapon. ED/IAS if you got em I suppose.

That's the setup I was running.

If youre a wolf use shaeled Coldsteel eye, more dmg than naga, 5 fpa and deadly strike :)

Only problem with Coldsteel Eye is the slow on it, which is considered BM by most, and banned by lld101.

Besides, it's gonna be a Bear mauler ;)

Sadly I think I'm gonna try the fury wolf version first, since I have no pelt for the bear yet, and I just found a beautiful +3 fury/+2 dire wolf/+3 SoB Pelt with 3 sockets.

Also I was doubting the bear's effectiveness due to somewhat low dmg uncharged and poor inherent fhr/fbr.

The wolf will have more consistent, although lower max dmg, a faster attack (6/4) and much much better fhr/fbr.

I will be sure to try both however...gonna be lots of charm muling...gonna steal my zealot charms for now until I can buy a nice set of 3/xx/10-15 scs.

Aren't IAS jewels and Coldsteel Eye above requirement level 30 anyway?

Yes, I won't be using either.
