Hi All,
Getting really sick of your same cookie cutter builds out there. This one is very different. And hopefully its does some dmg. Now I'm new to this to. And testing it out soon.
The main idea of the Fury Assassin is Blade Fury as your main attack. Blade Fury now can have such things as Deadly Strike, KnockBack, Venom, Open Wounds. And it uses 3/4 dmg from your weapon.
Skills:
Blade Fury - 1pt
Venom - 20
Shadow Warrior - 1
Cloak of Shadows - 20
Fade - 20
Burst of Speed -20
Mind Blast - 1
Stat Points:
Strength: Enough for gear
Dex: Enough for 75% block
Vit: Everything else
Energy: None
Gear:
eth upped Headhunters (nef) + SS
Vampire Gaze
2 +3 Shadow Claws (Pre Buffing on switch)
Duress
Raven Frosts + Atmas
Gore Ridders
Nofs Coil
Trangs Gloves
Armor:
Duress - Fairly cheap runeword. Adds to dmg, high def, adds resis, fhr. Probably the best so far. Bramble will add a lot more dmg to your venom. But Trangs Gloves will add abit.
Bramble - FHR and more poison damage, i think duress is more versatile and alot cheaper.
Weapon:
Blade Fury - Now it receives 3/4 dmg from weapon. I have gone with eth headhunters. As it gives you very easily 100%ds, and adds base dmg to the weapon with 150% ed. I'm pretty sure IAS or FCR doesn't makes you shoot blade fury any quicker. Also i read that blade fury needs ar.
HeadHunters Mathematical Approach (when Upgraded and eth)
Conquest Sword 37 to 53 (Non eth)
Conquest Sword 55 to 79 (eth)
Headhunter adds +1 to max damage Per Level
So @ clvl 80 it will add 80 to max dmg
Eth Upped HeadHunters @ clvl 80 should be (without the 150%ed) 55 - 159 based
55 * 150/100 + 55 = 137
159 * 150/100 + 159 = 397
+ 100%ds (at clvl 66)
= 274 - 794
Blade Fury Damage (3/4 wep dmg) = 205 - 595
+ Venom on top of that (which is around 430 maxed from memory)
I'm not sure if ed/max Jewels add more to this total but i would say they do. So duress would add more and if you socketed shield and helm with ed/max jewels you could bump it up abit.
Toxic SC's + Venom - How would this work with blade fury? I understand that venom adds the damage to the charms and not to the weapon. So if you had 20 * 100pd sc's this would greatly improve your damage.
There’s other weapon that can be selected. Like Death Cleaver for Ladder users, but I'm not sure how an ebotd would go or grief. Grief could be a problem with it casting a low venom overriding yours.
2H Weapons:
eth Reapers Toll (nef) - For raw damage, also if you add a Highlords that gives your more ds.
Tomb Reaver - (lo, lo, nef) Another raw dmg weapon + good resis. Which can be handy against casters.
Shields:
Simple SS, DR - FBR - FCB - Strength for high dmg 2h weapons
Belts:
Nofs Coil - Slows Target, strenght and ll
Verdungos - with 2h weap, keep that dr up and health
Gloves:
Trangs defiantly. Bump that venom dmg
Rings:
Raven Frost for melee, good ar and cbf. And plenty of dex
Amulet:
Highlords - Use this with a 2h weapon, Keep that ds up.
Atmas - for 1h weapon, has more ar. Chance to cast amp.
Metal Grid - Adds alot of ar and resis
Helm:
Vampire Gaze - DR, LL, ML looks awesome
Rockstopper - Has dr, life, fhr and resis.
CoA - dr, resis, and sockets +1skills
Boots:
Gores - DS, Open Wounds
As the title says its a beta version. I'm open for a discussion about this builds. There isn't a whole lot around on this type of build. I will be making this soon and get back to you. This is more of see if this guide will work thread.
- Pougee
I think this has already been done...check out the build guides...I believe there's already a build based around BF...

Yeh, its been done by rits, The build isn't all to good with pvp as Blade fury doesn't add AR so you end up with a poor chance to hit most players. It does however work fairly well on sorcs as rits showed me when i was helping him test some things. Demon limb's enchant really helps.
I'd also like to suggest you don't use 2hand weapons or bows for that matter as they have an even greater penalty for dmg than any one hand weapon does.
BoS doesn't really help this build apart from running so fade would probably be your best bet for the extra res and DR.
"I'm pretty sure IAS or FCR doesn't makes you shoot blade fury any quicker"
you read correct there, the blade speed (and its animation) always remain the same speed whether frozen or not.
I'd take a quick look at rit's guide stickied in the guidess thread at the top of the page and if you want to take her into pvp make afew modificaitons that you want (like swap some elemental dmg charms for life etc).
Good luck

I am glad you wrote this because I would like a Blade Fury PvP assassin to be feasible but I just don't know if it is.
I have read the guild but I feel with a very specialized build it my be possible. The only main problem is AR!!!!!
How do you get enought AR to make this build work?
Here are my questions for anyone who might know:
1. Does claw mastery help with your Blade Fury AR if using a claw weapon does it help your weapon damage thus helping your blade damage??
2. Does -XX% targets defence on your weapon help alot?
3. What AR should I shoot for to to be able to hit most PvP people?
First skill alocation I have in mind:
20 Venom
20 CoS
20 Fade
20 Shadow Master
Rest in Blade Fury
Second skill alocation I have in mind:
20 Venom
20 CoS
20 Fade
20 Lighten Sentery
1 Death Sentery - For leveling!!
1 Blade Fury
Rest in Shadow Master
Other random thoughts:
WEAPONS:
1. Fleshripper Fanged Knife - alot of good mods with -50% target defence and I found an eth one of these this weekend which makes me want to make this build alot!!
2. Eth 5 socket rune master axe with 5xETH runes for -125% targest defence and can not be frozen mod so no ravin frost required
3. Some other eth high end weapons with good mods????
Armor:
1. With high enough FADE could go enigma or bramble and try not to be bound to SS. I would like to use Spike Thourn Blade Barier because if Venom can get a melee character down to a few HP's then let them his you and they die!!!
2. I would like to use some Power Hit gloves 4 the KNOCK BACK!!! But everyone says use Trangs for the added poison, I'm not sure on this one?
3. The low level Hsarus' set boot belt combo gives great AR boost?
4. Angelic ring and amulet as we all know gives huge AR boost!!!
5. What helm???? Probably Vampire Gaze but Blackhorns face looks like a possibility too!!
MY GOLES WITH THIS BUILD:
1. To at lease be a continder in most all PvP match ups.
2. 8-10K AR---->This will be Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy Tough
3. Very high OW with as much poison damage as possibe.
4. Would like Knock Back
5. Would like close to max Damage Reduction, 50%.
6. Must have max block 75% and enough FHR.
7. Would like as close to max SLOW as possible, 50%.
8. Max resistance in Hell dificulty!
9. I do not care about how this build would fair in PvM!!!!!
SORRY this got so long but I would REALLLLLLY like to make this build work somehow just for fun!!!!

How do you get enought AR to make this build work?Rit's guide gives alot of info on how to get AR but i'll give a run down of a few ways:
Angelics, huge AR boost specially with 2 rings on
Enchant, this can be used from the demon limb weapons charges giving you 2xx% extra AR
Ravenfrosts (added bonus of CBF)
Charms, these can really help if you have the spare room for them.
Claw Mastery, works with claws but the dmg from a claw isn't all to good unless you put a runeword in it. On the plus side BF doesn't use duribility of your weapon and since the blades always move at the same speed you can get the slowest eth onehand weapon avaliable (two hand isnt really worth not having 75% block and the 2hand penalty for weapons is big) and do some nice damage.
Here are my questions for anyone who might know:
1. Does claw mastery help with your Blade Fury AR if using a claw weapon does it help your weapon damage thus helping your blade damage?? Yes, but you'd need a very nice claw to match the damage of a good sword or axe.
2. Does -XX% targets defence on your weapon help alot? In pvp its halved so an eth does -12.5% it can help. I think eth's work on total def and not base but i'm not 100% on that atm its been a while since i played.
3. What AR should I shoot for to to be able to hit most PvP people? 10k is reasonable but its better to have 15k to give you a chance of hitting those high def barbs/pala's
First skill alocation I have in mind:
20 Venom
20 CoS
20 Fade
20 Shadow Master
Rest in Blade Fury
Not this one, one point in BF is enough any more jsut up the mana cost and gives you 1 or 2 extra damage. theres better places to put these skills.
Second skill alocation I have in mind:
20 Venom
20 CoS
20 Fade
20 Lighten Sentery
1 Death Sentery - For leveling!!
1 Blade Fury
Rest in Shadow Master
1 in the traps is enough for pvp, you won't be doing much (if any) dmg with them unless you max out afew synergies so if your set on Death sentry jsut the one.
Personally i'd put a fair few in mindblast instead for pvp, this'll give you a nice long "swirly" animation above your apponents head to get them into hit recovery.

Rune master, not a bad choice but BFsin's usually kill with OW, Poison, Ele dmg, CB. With such a fast attack it'd be a waste not to exploit crushing blow etc. A setup-up similar to rits (i believe his got it in the guide but basically he uses an eth cresent moon in a cyrptic sword coupled with lots of light dmg chamrs, nice dmg and looks good).
Armor:
1. With high enough FADE could go enigma or bramble and try not to be bound to SS. I would like to use Spike Thourn Blade Barier because if Venom can get a melee character down to a few HP's then let them his you and they die!!!
You want a sheild for block, a 2nd claw helps this build in no way.
2. I would like to use some Power Hit gloves 4 the KNOCK BACK!!! But everyone says use Trangs for the added poison, I'm not sure on this one?
Knock back is generally considered bad manners in duels so make sure its ok where-ever your dueling. But i'd go for trangs for venom (venom will be very helpful if you boost it up) if BM aren't to much worry then maybe dracs gloves would help as well for OW.
3. The low level Hsarus' set boot belt combo gives great AR boost?
It's an option but don't forget you'll want some nice defense and life, verdungo's is probably better belt wise.
4. Angelic ring and amulet as we all know gives huge AR boost!!!
Talked about this already
5. What helm???? Probably Vampire Gaze but Blackhorns face looks like a possibility too!!
Depends if your going wit hOW etc to kill, use a helm to make up on whatever your missing. Maybe a COA for res and the 2 soc's can be used to make up but i'm not really sure for helm other than what my BFsin uses (guillems for the nice mods DS etc)

Remember slow can be considered BM as can knock back.
Good luck with your build hope i've helped a little.

Until you mentioned the stats on "Headhunter's", I had no idea what you meant. Somehow, using two shields at one time seemed a bit wrong.
Headhunter's (Head Hunter's Glory) is an elite unique troll nest. What you meant was Headstriker, unique battle sword.
Ivew been gone from these forums for a long time..
Glad to see I'm not completely forgotten :)
*Thumbs up*
Thanks Raph.. the guide in the forum here under stradegy compendium is still present.
I suggest all interested in a Furysin to read it... it will explain why a PvP Furysin isn't the best idea..
Good luck anyways..
SonOfRa
Interesting... anyway..
phy dmg gona sux with eny weapn for pvp so get an 6eth pb or runemaster
with 5eth.. runmaster looks better.. AR charms is best way to incerase AR..
and enchant form demon limb ofcourse..
maybe even 4eth 2um pb.. if using claw CM can help but not much..
since poison dmg charms work bad with venom(example 290 over 10 sec
venom will turn it into 11.6 over 0.4 sec)get full stash of AR/life charms..
also points in BS can prove very useful since U must stand still to attack
when someone get near U BS will help.
20SM,some in BF,20COS,fade,also MB and wake of fire are wery useful
cast some traps ans start MBlasting if oponent have low FHR it will
stun lock him and blades will have clean shot.. maybe
now gear.. aim for DR,resist,OW,%psd,AR..
note:KB doesent work in pvp
so helm:gaze or coa (facets)
amy:metalgrid(ar and resist are juz to good)atma 5% to amp is bad in pvp
phy dmg is low so deadly doesent help.. ias make no difrence
weapon:4eth 2um pb what to say OW and -%100defence..
swich:3+to shadow skills to prebuff venom and SM and demon limb
armor:duress(res OW)
sheild:SS.. or Head hunters with psn facets
glowes:trang or draculs(OW)
ring:2ravenfrost (for AR)
belt:good craft will do the work.. string.. werdungos
boots:gore rider OW
strategy:prebuff venom cast enchant SM, fade
then COS some fire traps MB and bf ofcourse
main problem is thet U must stand still... well Furysin is my only non necro
build tnx to Ritslev :) and this could be alot of fun..
also points in BS can prove very useful since U must stand still to attack
when someone get near U BS will help.
Thank you for the compliment...
WORD OF WARNING!!!!
Blade Fury DOESN'T use Durability
Blade Shield DOES use durability...
Meaning..
While yes you do have to stand still using Blade Fury and thus the consept of using Blade Shield is a really good idea... IF the weapon you use ISN'T Etherall... or is Indestructable...
In my guide I've suggested : Cresent Moon Runeword ... this is NOT indestructiable thus I don't advice using Blade Shield if you have this weapon Etheral... Also ... Stormlash (if Etheral) is only indestructiable IF Zodded..
If you do break a weapon.. (If I recall correctly and if this bug hasn't been fixed).. You can still save it... Use the Anya Quest where you name the weapon on it and it should be at Full durability once more...
Just a word of warning...
