max shiver armor?

is shiver armor really any good? should it be maxed for a pvp blizz sorc?

i was thinking..
20 ice blast
20 bliz
20 glacial spike
20 CM
20 shiver armor if possible

Nope, don't do it. PvP, I would say, if you have extra points, put them in tele until it is nice and low costing, sometimes I bring it down to 1 pt per cast... makes dueling las alot longer, and your mana go alot further... Warmth is also a possibility though.

I would suggest tele, but its up to you. Either way, I would say that all the armors are a 1 point wonder...

Unless u go for the ARMOR Sorc build

20 in each of the 3 armors ( 60 ) points

15 in cold mastery

20 in telekenesis , 5 in ES

And have 10x cold skiller charms.

anything that amps up cold damage like facets.

and then if anyone attacks u they will die in 1 hit... mawhwhahwa

yeah, true, but u kinda answered his question , so I was just thinking the only time it ever is viable to go hard out on a full shield would be to do it properly with a 60/60 shield.

No dont max shiver armor. Max ice blast instead because it synergizes blizzard.

If someone wear a ravenfrost ( cbf ) or even 2, is he still taking any cold dmg? i mean how % cold dmg he got inflicted from the synergised shields ?

Cold damage is separate from CBF. Even if you cannot be frozen you will still take full damage from cold attacks. Cold is particularly effective PvP because it is impossible to stock up on enough cold resists to counter a maxed CM with +skills. Google "Diablo skill calculator" and you will find calculators to tell you how much damage is possible. the damage PvP will be 1/5 to that, but, since the opponent will probably be at or near -100% cold resist, actual damage will be twice that. You would need it to be to a level where one hit will kill your opponent since he is not likely to try hitting you twice.

Then is sure sounds like fun build and effective. I'm gonna try making one.. ;)
Then depend on who you 're fighting with ( melee or range ), you will select which armor to use i suppose : like shiver when facing barb, melee... or chilling facing a zon etc ?
